Commercial Description:
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

This one wasn’t as good as the Double to me. There just seemed to be something off. Its like it tries to be a tripple and has some of the characteristics, but isn’t balanced quite right.

Bottle poured a white lacing head with a golden body containing particulates. Aroma and flavor were clove, banana, and yeast. Nice carbonation and a smooth finish.

33 cl bottle, Fargo, ND, USA. Slightly hazy golden colour. Straw, yeast spice aroma, nice mouthfeel, but the hops seem to muddle the flavor. Nice spicy finish.

NB definitely helped start a trend with their regular line of brews. This, as far as a Trippel goes comparitively, is, just OK. This as far as making an amazing style of beer available to a huge audience as big as good old America, is great. Every once in a while I’ll pick up a LESS THEN $10 6-pack and revel in the fact that decent beer still doesn’t not need to be over priced like all the hyped up bit these days. Thanks NB.
