Commercial Description:
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

Sweet malt and grass aromas. Golden yellow with a white head that dissipated quickly. Flavors of honey, malt, some dryness, spices, some ginger cookie. Palate is solid. Rich enough but not syrupy. Flavors are good overall. Not a great trippel, but easy to drink and not overly alcoholic.

Bottle via trade with Hellbilly. Pours an attractive gold with a disappearing head. Nose is distinctly wet grain and yeast, a bit musty. On taste, it is quite different from most tripels I’ve had, very mild yeast kick that gets covered up by a very earthy flavor, followed by caramelized candy sugar. Mouthfeel is a touch fizzy and a little rough. It’s hard to get past the super earthy, almost dirt-like taste. Not horrible, but I’d take Dulle Teve any day...

courtesy of vasdef42 poours golden with frothy white head. Aroma is yeasty and I found it to be rather weak, became estery as the beer warmed up giving it a light fruity character. Taste, malty, grany and wheat, yeasty. The aftertaste keeps a good feel of the abv with a light citrus finish. Sweet esters of white raisin like mouthfeel. Alcohol remains solid. Has plenty of good characteristics of a good tripel and gets better as it warms up.

Decently sized head, but a sad yellow color. Not a nice looking trippel. Smells of sugar, light spice, coriander. Fizzy and watery mouthfeel. Biscuit flavor with light citrus, with a yeasty and alcohol finish. Not a very good trippel.

Nice triple. Pours a cidery yellow with a fluffy head. Fruit and caramel flavors up front followed by a dry floral finish. Well done.

2009 Bottle. Aroma of corn and sweet malts with a hint of alcohol. Light amber appearance with a sturdy white head. Complex flavor, similar to its Belgian brethren, this has strong malty tones with an alcohol aftertaste. Well balanced overall and very good for an American attempt at a Belgian art.

Crushed with CaryThedude and JakeBra at the brewery. It was free, so i’m rating it higher. Fruit nose with some bready spicey trippelness. Pretty weak for a trippel.
