COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

Poured 22 oz Tulip glass. Light gold little head. Very nice carbonation. I mild coriander aroma, however very little coriander taste. Overall an excellent Belgium style beer

Orange and slightly hazy, good head. Aroma is typical spicy Belgian and the taste has a bit of citrus and spice to it. The taste is gentle compared to other Belgians and is easy to drink.

Crystal clear golden amber pour with a nice white but rapidly fading head. Soft pleasant phenolic and spice aroma with orange and other fruity notes. Nice honey malt flavors with fruity esters and a touch of spiciness followed by a pleasant bitterness. Medium bodied with a creamy small bubble mouthfeel. Great, refreshing trippel. Lacks a bit of the complexity of a authentic Belgian trippel but a nice beer nonetheless.

The aroma definitely has a Belgian yeast quality that gives it a fruitiness. There is also malt, spices, and hay. The appearance is golden with a large head that leaves lots of lace. The taste is like the aroma with a cardboard and citrus quality. The palate is average. Overall this is only an average beer.

Vibrant gold pour with a thin white head. Lots of fruity esters in the nose. Lemon, coriander, spice, grapefruit and crackers. Taste is sweet, lemon and yeast overlay a strong biscuity malt base. Also some notes of coriander and citrus hops. Palate is clean and finishes dry, with a good amount of carbonation. A little bland as far as tripels go, but pretty easy to drink.

Pours clear golden yellow with a nice white, bubbly head and some lace. Aroma is of sweet malts, some fruits, spices and yeast. Has a little bitterness on the tongue with lots of spices, fruits, some malts and banana with a nice finish. The coriander is pretty hard to find but overall it’s a pretty good brew.

651mL from Whole Foods Tenleytown. The pour is a crystal clear gold with a large, white head. Fully webby, sheety lace remains. Decent retention. Nose is estery with banana and tangerine. But overall, not as yeast forward as you would expect with fresh grain and lemon. Taste is malty, dense, heavy oatmeal, mild soapiness. Feels astringent and lacking. Almost stinging in palate. As it warms it gains some higher alcohol and retains major sugar content feeling more like malt liquor. Eh...not a fan.
