COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

Pours clear gold with a minimal head that dissipates quickly leaving little lacing. Aroma is light - fig and vanilla. Taste is slightly sweet with lightly bitter aftertaste. Surprisingly light in body and texture and a bit fizzy. I was really looking forward to trying this but find it a bit disappointing. New Belgium’s Dubbel is much better.

12 oz - Fizzy seltzer mouthfeel with good lace. That is about where good ends. Perfumey.

Pours bright golden with a ton of carbonation and a little head. The aroma is Belgian yeasts, fruit, bananas, a little bit of a vanilla yogurt thing, too. And most of the coriander mentioned in the label comes through in the aroma. The flavor is rich and sweet and smooth. I’d been worried that the coriander might overpower the flavor, but it doesn’t. Slightly boozy aftertaste, sticky mouthfeel that keeps the flavor around for a bit.

Bottle from nearby Sprouts. Pours clear golden with nice fizzy-thick white foam head. Nice malty, slightly hoppy, and lovely fruity aromas in the nose. If I sniff a few more times, the coriander starts to come through as well. Taste is full, bitter front, sweet pale malts and fruit coming through, along with the excellent Belgian yeast. Top notch stuff. Smooth, simple, easy drinking, and sufficiently complex to keep you coming back for more.

Appearance: clear light gold almost yellow with particles floating in it, thick and dense white head, laces well Aroma: lemon, bread, orange, refreshing, alcohol Taste: orange, plum, spice, alcohol, hints of hops particularly on the finish Palate: moderate c02, heavy mouth feel, kind of a plum and alcohol aftertaste Overall: a good beer, does not look like it tastes, even though the abv isn't that high for the style you get a lot of the alcohol taste ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
