COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, yeast, and spices - especially cardemomme and a lighter touch of coriander. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, yeast, and spices. Thanks yespr for sharing.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a slightly hazy pilsener golden with a creamy, off-white head leaving a discreet lacework. Distinct aroma of yeast and some fruit - perhaps even a dash of coriander. Rather full-bodied with accents of yeast and sulphur - and perhaps a banana note. Some alcohol presence showing in the finish. Thanks to PhillyBeer2112 for providing this. 060706

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a creamy white head. Dense fruity, light phenolic and mild spiced to yeasty aroma. Spiced and slight rubber flavour initially. Mild yeasty ad caramel malty flavour following. Almost classic yet somewhat too phenolic and rubber like.

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2003 Exceptional example. Very flowery aroma and palate. These guys have used some of the world's best malt to get flavours like this, and have mashed it well.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2003 (7/28/03): Slightly hazy yellow with big white head. Aroma is sweet, orange, herbal, dry. Taste is medium sweet, orange, coriander, pepper, herbal, finishing dry with a light alcohol burn. Medium body. Much better than the first time I tried it. (1/13/03): Cloudy red-orange body with minimal head. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange. Taste is sweet, slightly yeasty, fruity (orange and cherry). Aftertaste is slightly cloying and mediciny. Disappointing. (6/3/5/3/10)
