Apr 17, 2007 Bottle poured a clear golden yellow with a large lasting white head. Aromas of banana, apple, sweet malt and a bit of spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp yet smooth. Flavors of spice, banana, light pineapple and a hint of carmel with a smooth lingering bittersweet finish.

Aug 11, 2007 My bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry and biegaman -- courtesy of fordest. Pours a clear gold with a small diminishing white head. Aroma starts pretty awful, like dirty shitty diapers -- ugh -- thankfully it gets somewhat better with some sweetness, fruit, yeast, grain and alcohol coming through. Sweet flavour of fruity malt, yeast, spices and some alcohol in the finish. Medium bodied. Like HogTownHarry, my notes concluded with "Meh" which pretty much sums up this beer for me.

Jul 21, 2005 Draught. Pours gold with orange hints and a rocky white head; excellent film lacing. Sour yeast and leather malt aromas. Sour yeast and leather malt flavor with a citrus hop finish. Light bodied and fizzy dry palate.

May 24, 2004 Gold color with almost a surprisingly tiny head. Has a yeasty and spicy aroma. Taste is first sweet bananas followed with mellow cloves. A bit dissapointed, as I have been holding out drinking what I thought would be NB’s best beer, but still good. I would have liked a bit more carbonation and a bit less sweetness. At least it’s 8.5, which doesn’t make it coat my tongue.

Feb 1, 2004 Thanks to TChrome for sending this out! Pours a clouded amber with lots of floaties and particles in the body. Medium fluffy white head. Nose is flowery and mixed with spices. Definitely spice, fruit, and some sugar on the tongue. There's more of the floral taste in there, I guess due to the hops. There's a little bite due to the carbonation and spices, but other than that is relatively smooth. The finish is more of the hops and lightened spice. Very good!

Mar 7, 2005 Grapevine Market- Austin, Tx - 12oz bottle. Pours a slighlty murky, medium golden with a faint, but sticky white head, good subtle bubble action. Aroma is not overly apparant, pick up a faint fish odor, some cotton candy and fresh lake water. Flavor has a little bit of bubble gum, some candied sugar and a bit of alcohol. Turns slighlty cloying near the end. Mouthfeel is sticky and thick, which is nice. Overall, decent, but not one for the ages.

Feb 4, 2007 12 oz bottle purchased at Papago in Scottsdale, AZ. Best before date = 9/14/07. Poured a clear pale orange color. Head was bubbly and white with good retention, but not much lace. Aroma was yeasty bread dough, esters, and white wine with a whiff of black pepper. Lots of tiny effervescent bubbles cascaded over my tongue. White wine, lemon, and black pepper flavors. Finish was dry and somewhat bitter with lingering spiciness and alcoholic warmth.

Sep 2, 2009 Bottle. Gold pour. Fruit, yeast, hops and some bready notes. Flavor is crisp and a bit hot. Some tropical fruit, hops and caramel malt. Good.
