Commercial Description:
Trippel Belgian Style Ale, perhaps the most intriguing of New Belgium's beers, has alluring golden color that only hints at this beer's depth. European Saaz hops and an authentic Belgian yeast strain produce an earthy floral bouquet, citrus bite and woody overtones, all of which are balanced with silky malt flavors.

Pours a lightly hazy bright gold with a dense ivory head and sheeting lace on the walls of my Chimay goblet. Smells of sweet pale malt and light sweet spice. Tastes quite bitter. Spicy noble hops, lemon peel, biscuity pale malt, peppery spice. Mouth is sweetish but not sticky. There’s a driness in the finish that hold sthe sweetness at bay. Full bodied and the hops linger in the aftertaste. Really good stuff. A wow beer for me.

I’ve not sampled many of this style before...Pours deep gold color with a very large white head and fair amount of lacings. Aroma is various spices. Taste is sweet malts, spices, bready, and some euro hops. Decent pour that is dominated by the malts and spices. Could use a few more hops IMO. Hides 7.8% abv well except for the effects.

Bottled@Old Chicago Omaha,NE. This beer is very like our Bohemia Confraria here in Brazil. Golden Color with a nice white head. Aroma is Sweet and fruity as well as the flavor, with notes of caramel and spices. Mouthfeel is smooth malt.

Poured from bottle a light golden with a small off-white head that faded quickly. Nose is of yeast, bread, and light spice and bubble gum. Flavor is sweet with bubble gum, a mild spice, yeast, honey and caramel. The palate is mostly sweet followed by a soft mild spice and moderate carbonation. Overall, decent but lacks some in flavor and mouthfeel.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, yeast, and spices - especially cardemomme and a lighter touch of coriander. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, yeast, and spices. Thanks yespr for sharing.

On tap at the brewery. Clear golden color with a nice white head. Smells like medium fruit and spice, sort of cake like in aroma. Tastes of caramel, malt and yeast.
