Commercial Description:
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

The Trippel poured golden yellow. It had a good sized, fluffy, white head that displayed good retention and some lacing.

Its aroma was complex - spicy, yeasty, and earthy, with strong tones of corriander, flowery hops, and some hints of bananas.

The taste was some sweetness initially followed by spicy cloves, yeasty bitterness and some slight fruity notes. It was very smooth and medium bodied.

Overall, a very nice, complex, yet well balanced brew. It was very easy drinking - I didn’t notice the alcohol at all.

Poured golden color, head dissipated quickly. Aroma is very similar to what you would expect from a good belgian beer, as is the taste. Palate feel was thin, yet almost buttery. Nice fruityness to the whole experience, and overall a tasty beer.

Bottle. Clear dark amber pour with a large frothy white head that lasted and has good lacing. Good citrus spice aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Full citrus and spice flavor with a moderate finish. Good complex brew.

From bottle. Poured dark yellow (orange and amber?) with s small white head that left moderate lacing. Nose is strong. Mostly malts, fruti, flowers, adn hops. Mouthfeel is really clean and crisp. Good favors with banana showing up at this point. Flavors hang on well to the last drop. This is a very nice beer. I am not all that expert on the type, but I this seems like a good example.

Beautiful golden Belgian ale. The head is doughy and thick. The flavor smacks of wheat and citrus, a wonderful beer...please share with others

From the bottle, this beer poured a beautiful polished amber liquid. There was an off-white ample creamy head that lasted throughout due to a lively effervescence. This left a nice lacing on the edge of the glass. The nose was a complex mixture of malt sweetness with undercurrents of apple, citrus and grass. The mouthfeel was sharp and slightly dry. The initial flavor was a subtle balance of malt sweetness and clove. The middle was dry and the finish, slightly sweet with an alcohol warmth.

Bottled. Pours a clear, light copper color with a large white head. Initial aroma is that of freshly cut sawdust. Other aromas are a phenol; yeastiness, apricot and peaches. Flavors are malt, peaches, some spice and some fruity esters. Clean yeasty finish.
