COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

Pours a very transparent gold, half inch of dense white foam that dissipates slowly, leaves some lace behind. Aroma is wonderful - nutty, fruity, some banana, spices like coriander, and bread. Taste is mild and smooth, not much in the way of hops and a bit more on the malt than the typical tripel. Very nice.

12 oz bottle. Amber pour with a nice head that left nice lacing thoughout the glass. Aromas were sweet and fruit. Some spice. The flavors were more spice, some pepper and a nice alcohol finish. Pretty darn good.

This is a good attempt by a US brew to create a Belgium style beer. NB Brewery has a few other Belgium style beers, but this is their best one.

Tasted 10/20/07. 12oz bottle. Filtered with a golden hue. Layer of bone white head. Malt dominant nose. Caramel with a touch of grassy hop aromas. Candy sugary. Touch apples. Smoother and easier than the previous tripel(Boulevard Long Strange Tripel). Higher gravity yet malt dominant. Mild hops. So smooth with a slight tinge of mild effervescence. More cloying. Malty bready and spicy. Sticky. Wonderful linterpretation!

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2007 Pineapple nose. Pours pale, with nice head and amazing lacing. Yeasty sweetness hits nicely floral and strong hops (strong, at least, for style). Cane sugar is a bit overwhelming, which I consider the beer’s only weakness. Warm, warm alcohol. Very drinkable, almost sublime. Will purchase more!

Bottle. Pours a cloudy, gold color with a large, clingy, white head that fades some. Taste is of hops, wheat, yeast, fruit, caramel and malt. Some sweetness. The alcohol is hidden well. Aroma is much the same. Easy to drink and is a satisfying beer. For the price this a pretty nice beer, that is well worth visiting.

I’m not overly fond of New Belgiums standard range but this came out alright in the end. Pale amber great, tight and permanent head. Bubblegum sweetness and soap on the nose. Some lemon too. Light, sweet and not much of that booze until you’re half way down when your cheeks start getting rosy. Plenty of candy sugar and caramel notes. A light, light hoppy character. Lots going for it really.

12 oz Bottle pours golden in color with a thin, quickly dissipating white head. The aroma has notes of apple, caramel, spice, and lemongrass. Flavor has sweet malt, some sour fruit and faint hop. It finishes with a somewhat spicy note, displaying coriander and pepper with the alcohol well hidden. The mouthfeel is medium - this is a pretty solid American Trippel that I would definitely buy again.
