Commercial Description:
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

This stuff smells like heaven. It just does everything right. There's some sour apples in there, lots of yeast...hazy golden. The flavour is predominately yeast, with a moderately bitter finish. Well balanced malt. Finishes with a warming alcohol flavour.

Beautiful blond color with large white head. Earthy, yeast and citrus aromas. Awesome balance of yeast, fruit and spice flavors. Couldn't get enough of this one.

Good, crisp, smooth, and clean with a good fruity kick. Nice brew. Color was a hazy deep yellow, almost orangey glow with a great frothy head that was an inch or so thick and lasted pretty much through the whole glass. Smells lightly of lemon, orange peels maybe or banana peel, good floral hop presence with a spicey note like pepper or clove. Taste was good with a good solid fruit and hop mix with lots of floral, spicey hops that fizz around in the mouth, lots of carbination. It reminded me of a Corona with a lime or lemon in it, but way more bolder and full bodied. Thats maybe a bad example but its all I can think of. Damn good and drinkable.

Bottle. Nice light amber hue with outstanding, creamy head with the brussels lace that comes with a well-crafted beer--rings all down my glass! The nose is complex, malty, with good hop support. There are citrus, grass, peanut, and maybe cassis going on in the nose. The mouthfeel is right on--smooth, creamy and full as it should be. Tastes malty, with a mild hopiness, floral character. Very nice beer with some alcohol warmth--this is no cop-out Belgian imitator. Excellent beer

I am not very familiar with this brewer as they are not available in my state, fortunately my wife was able to bring me a couple of bottles from a trip out west. I love Abby Tripels in general so I was excited to try this one. Sampled from an attractive 12 oz bottle this beer poured a cloudy bright golden color with a huge yellow-white head that lingers for quite some time and leaves lots of lacing. The aroma is sweet with a strong yeasty presence and a hint of pear. The flavor is sweet and fruity with pear and apricot elements undertoned with a yeasty presence. The finish is tangy and fruity. I wish I could get some more of this one.
