Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

Deep yellow, with a sizeable head. Good, but fairly mild. Some funky fruit flavors and mild spice, nutmeg is in there.

Old rating. Grainy, some honey, that NB yeast, decently malty and caramel. Reasonably smooth. Decent six pack tripel though not up to Belgian master standards, I suppose.

Bottle - very big foamy head, dark gold color, yeasty spice aroma and flavor, maybe some mild coriander, mild fruit, fair malt backbone, very good overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle. Gold with one finger head. Spice, sweety candy aroma. Spice, flower, a little sweet. Not bad, but of course not up with the Belgian versions.

Pours golden with big lively carbonation and lacing all over glass. Really floral and spicy aroma that was best part of beer. Flavor was spicy and somewhat earthy hops. Great finish.

355ml bottle. Barely clear, orangey golden colour with small, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Honey’d, grainy-spicy, minimally fruity aroma, hints of plain bitter hop. Taste is slightly sweet grainy, minimally fruity, a touch of honey, biting spicy and bitter hoppy overtones, additional bite and warmth in the alcoholic finish. Hooch-olic.

Poured from 12 oz bottle. Aroma is breads and waft of spiced malt. Appearance is a bright light orange with a one finger head. Taste is breads, candy and spice, with a trace of bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Palate is silky smooth. While not my style of beer this still rates highly.

Aroma of banana and applesauce with some vanilla. Appears gold with lots of bubbles and light foam. Way more bitter hay than expected, but very balanced, as the beer fades into a nearly kool-aid sweet honey flavor, very nice. Fizzy, nice. Overall, different from what I expect of the style, but very enjoyable.

Bottle. Dark gold. Some lacing. Mildly hoppy nose, almost cinnamony. Nice full body of banana, a mild dry hoppy kick. A bit hoppier than expected for the style.

I liked this one quite a bit. Good and flowery with a smooth finish for a trippell.
