Pours a crystal clear golden yellow color with a large frothy white head that produces amazing lacing and has superb retention. This beer is a treat on the eyes. Aroma is a very slight malt yeast combo with a nice sweet back to it all. Flavor is slightly spicy with a nice fruity nod and that Belgian yeast is at the forefront giving the beer a nice slight banana flavor. Just the right amount of sweetness too. Very well done! This beer is wonderful. By far the best year round offering from New Belgium. I can drink this bad boy all day and night.

Seriously, it smells like fresh tomato. Maybe a hint of citrus, as well. Taste is big Belgian yeast. Light and high in the mouth. Bit of mint and banana. Might be a great example of the styly, just not my bag. arrogantb (734), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2010 12 oz bottle poured into a New Belgium snifter. The color was bright yellow and oh so clear. There was a short white head on top. The smell was really strong and was banana-like and estery. The taste followed suit with banana and spice. This beer was very easy to drink despite the 7.8% alcohol listed on the bottle. Good stuff and much better than I remembered.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 18, 2009 Small head, but not bad looking. Very sweet nose, sense an artificiality, but it’s not offensive. Full palate, lingers with a slight bitterness. Honey taste, hops are flowery, rich, definite coriander. This is a really solid beer. scrizzz (1352), kirkland, Washington, USA

Now I want to eat this with Thai food. White sugar, basil, peanut, coriander and white pepper. I can’t get the association out of my head now. hero12 (61), USA
