COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeusís daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

Bottle. The pour was a clear medium golden yellow with an average sized (1-2 finger) white frothy head that receded down to a large puddle and small collar with good spotty lacing. The aroma was mild of a light bread malt and a sweaty yeast with notes of banana, apple, citrus (lemon) and a bit of coriander. The taste mildly sweet and rather yeasty with a hint of citrus and a slight fruity ester early on, becoming slightly bitter with a hint of banana, a pinch of spice and a slight alcohol presence at the end. The flavor lasted an average duration with a creamy spicy fruity taste left lying on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was light in body with a dry watery texture and a medium carbonation. Overall a mild tasting Tripel with a good balance of flavors...

Crystal clear amber with a sudsy off-white 1.5 finger head that leaves a lot of lacing. Coriander and funky belgian yeast are very forward in the aroma, along with toffee and grains. Taste is honey, grassy hops, hint of funk, sweet malts and coriander. Medium bodied and has a spiciness on the tongue. Not bad tripel.

This is a great trippel! Itís awesome that a large brewery can put out a beer like this. Creamy head and a nice gold pour. Good balance. Just enough sweet and funk. A touch of coriander.

Bottle. My intro to Trippel. Smells somewhat sweet and taste is also sweetish, but somewhat bitter. Nice yellow color with foam. Nice intro to trippel style.

Bottle. Clear golden pour, little carbonation and some sticky lacing with a nice fruity/sugary nose. Flavor has nice sweet malty backbone, plenty of the fruity Belgiany yeast youíd expect in a traditional Tripel and finishes with some clove. Well priced 6-pack to pick up if you donít want to spend twice as much for the real thing.

Appearance is a clear golden with moderate white foam cap. Aroma is citrus and clove, with a light breadlines from the malt. Taste is a sweet malt with a hint of citrus, honey, and herbal hops. Mouthfeel is light with a high carbonation. Finishes with a lingering honey sweetness on the tongue

"nice light but present hopping and spiciness lend a nice floralaroma to this beer. the flavor is a touch fruity, with the hops and yeast in the background. fairly straightforward, but good."

Clear golden color with small white head, coarse bubbles quickly disappearing, aromas of yeast, fruit and spices, good carbonation, creamy in mouth, slightly bitter finish, very pleasant

Taster at brewery. Pours golden with a white head. Not a lot on the nose. I get some of the Belgian yeast thing on the tongue but itís pretty subdued otherwise. Finishes clean. Kind of boring.
