RSRIZZO (942), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Oct 11, 2007 Had this beer on 9/19/2001. Aroma is a faint dry scent of cherry and malt. Color is a creamy reddish brown with good carbonation and head. Taste is odd, a bit wine like. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a crisp feel and a dry cherry taste. Finish is this dry flavor turning to a sweet taste with a nice maltiness. Although it’s all odd it does come out to be refreshing and light. Overall it’s a tasty fall brew with a good body and refreshing end. Sledge Jr (2692), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Feb 14, 2004 Extremely strong cherry flavor. Works well in a lambic such as this. possibly weighs in on the medicinal side, but I like it. Great head. harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Oct 12, 2003 You know I just need to learn to stay away from fruit beers. These are kind of like green bottles to me, I never end up liking the finished product. This was just a little too much for me. Dark amber pour, no head, and a funky fruity aroma. There is very little cherry, just there as kind of a tease, predominantly malty in the finish. There is just not too much unfortunately. Crit (2205), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Jan 6, 2003 Amber with fast fading fizzy head. Vinegar nose. Acidy faintly cherry palate gbzia (195), Cedar Knolls, New Jersey, USA Aug 30, 2002 A lot lighter than the old cherry ale of a few years ago. Nice, but not as much flavor or aroma as I’d like
