harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Oct 12, 2003 You know I just need to learn to stay away from fruit beers. These are kind of like green bottles to me, I never end up liking the finished product. This was just a little too much for me. Dark amber pour, no head, and a funky fruity aroma. There is very little cherry, just there as kind of a tease, predominantly malty in the finish. There is just not too much unfortunately. Sledge Jr (2720), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Feb 14, 2004 Extremely strong cherry flavor. Works well in a lambic such as this. possibly weighs in on the medicinal side, but I like it. Great head. Gusler (2656), Tucson, Arizona, USA Dec 26, 2001 Deep cloudy amber color, thin beige head that disipated quickly, some lace.
Aroma slight cherry tones, with malts also present. Start malt, middle a bit thin, finish some what dry with minimal hop presence. Can’t say that this beer pleases me much. Crit (2242), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Jan 6, 2003 Amber with fast fading fizzy head. Vinegar nose. Acidy faintly cherry palate TAR (2010), Boulder Co., Colorado, USA Dec 28, 2001 I liked the usage of cherries in this. Not over the top but nicely done. Toasty malt with subtle hints of sour cherries and cinnamon. A very good thirst quenching amber with lots of character. Though not complex, this beer worked wonders for me. More hops could have really scored this beer some points. Medium, light body, semi dry finish. My parents scored this in AZ for me.
