COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English Pale ale may appear ordinary but itís far from your average brew; despite itís classic Amber color, it breaks away from the pack by using all American grown fuggles hops for an earthy taste while showcasing itís intrinsic herbal and citrus flavors. The subtle mixing of flavors creates a combination thatís made this one of our most successful brews to date.

12oz bottle from Wegmans, West Seneca, NY. A murky amber pour with a fast fading white head; aroma of over boiled malts; watery malt taste, with a trace of citus and some pukey straw. Not good - a drain pour.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmkís place. Thanks Tom L. Clear amber. Kinda oxidized aroma of malt, caramel, toast and a hoppy hint. Sweetish flavor, somewhat stale, with malt, a bit of toast, a bit of caramel and a mild hoppy (a bit earthy) bitterness. Medium-bodied.

I might call this more of an American amber but who cares because itís terrible. It had an amber color with a short-lived head. Its nose is mild and malty and it tastes like unfermented wort and stainless steel. Itís sticky sweet and finishes bitter like a mouthful of turf grass. This is like some jackassesís first homebrew kit.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a lightly hazed amber that eventually clears with a moderate off-white head that lasted through the first two sips and left light lace. Indistinct aroma with a few scant notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is laden with overripe orange and caramel. I drank around half the glass and ended up dumping the rest. Not something Iíd look to revisit anytime soon.

Pours a medium amber color with a creamy head. Aromas caramel, slight bread, slight fig and slight grass. Flavors of light caramel, slight toffee, slight spruce. Lightly sweet and medium bitter. From the aromas it seems to be a sweet malty beer, but the flavors reveal its true bitter color without much of sweet or malty bite.
