The tasting notes provided by the meadery actually provide a very accurate description of this mead:
A striking rosè is the color of our Dry Blueberry Honey Wine. Equally enchanting are the deep floral aroma and subtle tart cherry notes you are treated to with each glass. The wonderful aroma of this mead will whisk you back to a blueberry field in full Spring bloom. Well structured, this mead possesses a fresh floral flavor only achieved by combining just-picked, fully ripe blueberries with that coveted Indiana wildflower honey.

5/20/2007: New Day Dry Blueberry Honey Wine (2006 Vintage; Batch #06-2) pours a coral pink color and is very clear. The aroma is very floral with cherry undertones. There some alcohol present in the nose as well. The flavor is also quite floral (similar to a European Rosè wine) with some additional flavors of honey and cinnamon (or something spicy). Overall this mead has lots of subtleties and is quite complex. I would not have guessed that this was a blueberry mead based on the aroma or flavor! Very unique and memorable.
Sampled at New Day Meadery in Elwood, Indiana.
jsquire (1899), St. Marys, Ohio, USA Aug 31, 2008 Out of a bottle at the meadery. Attractive garnet red color and still. The alcohol dominated the nose in this one. Dry, fruity tartness that I wouldn’t have identified as blueberries without the name. Lots of floral honey notes and naticable alcohol. hotstuff (3045), Indiana, USA Feb 22, 2008 Rated at New Day Meadery. Orang hue, floral, tart, sweet and cherries nose; flavor was sweet, floral, dry, honey, and cherries; mouthfeel was smooth and dry, and light in body. Very subtle nose and flavor, nicely done and I would definitely drink this one again. Worthy of a try!
