I got this on draught a year or so ago as a joke. Coffee and blueberry? No way. After I took a big whiff, I instantly knew that the was no laughing matter. Big coffee on the knows- hidden in there are dark blueberry and raspberry notes. The taste is much the same. Lighter body than the nose and viscosity lead you to believe. Easily on if my all time favorite things brewed on Indiana.

Huge waft of espresso as soon as the top flips. Appearance is inky purple with pinkish head. Taste is mostly espresso at first but some jammy berry flavors emerge as it warms. Pretty awesome and unique.

Courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Cheers, John! Pours a deep purple with a deep purple head. Nose is big coffee, blackberry, cherry, and slight medicinal note with coffee all along the background. Flavor is similar and nicely enjoyable. Light to medium in body and a nice surprise.

Draft at RBWG. Royal purple color, few pink bubbles. Aroma of ripe berries. Taste is raspberry, not overly sweet. Nice body.

Draft from donated 1/6 at RBWG GT. Poured a deep burgundy/purple with a pink head. Aroma is unlike anything I’ve had before. Notes of strong coffee, light honey sweetness, berries. Reminds me of sitting in a Perkins and the combination of the coffee and berry syrup in the air. Flavor is similar to the aroma with the coffee being a little stronger in the initial taste and the aftertaste and the raspberry coming in during the middle. Interesting and tasty.

Draft at RBWG - thanks for the keg donation! Pours a deep, opaque ruby with a raspberry-colored head. Big coffee pops out of the aroma right away, with abundant raspberry, honey, and maple. The raspberry is dark and rich. Full-bodied, with low carbonation and a fruity, syrupy mouthfeel. Intense, and really good. The aroma works just a tad better, whereas the flavor is better than the nose in the Imperial version. Really interesting.

>> Thanks b3shine for the pour. Color is inky deep purple, wicked dark purple foam. Crazy, staining blueberry juice. Nose is rich blackberry, coffee, blackberry cobbler. Taste is sweet blackberry, small coffee, lower sugar than expected, berry acid balance. Rich palate. One of the most interesting drinks of any sort I’ve had.

2/24/14. Flip top thanks to b3shine! Shared by me with Matt Owen and the Eclectic Tuba! Purple red pour with not much head. Crazy aroma, plenty of coffee, some berry sweetness, nice bits of honey. Good flavor, nice mix of raspberry, coffee, and honey. If I closed my eyes, almost a cherry stout in a way. Tasty!

Growler shared by b3shine and draft at RBWG. Pours a crazy bright reddish purple color with no head. The aroma and flavor have a unique combination of raspberry jam, roasted coffee and honey. The whole concept sounds strange but works pretty well.

On tap at the 2014 RBWG grand tasting. Beautiful clear crimson with a quickly falling pink bubble head. Petilent. Aroma of toast with raspberry jam. Sweet with intense raspberry flavor. The coffee doesn’t come out as coffee but provides a tempering to the fruit in a nice way.
