Pours amber with a lingering white head. Smells of oak, residual sugar, some dry malty character, peppery. Tastes dry with some oaky elements, some funky splashes, floral, some citrus notes and a slight peppery finish. Enjoyable.

Hazy golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of Chardonnay, buttery wood, spices, wild yeast and citrus. Taste of citrus, light spices, vanilla, Brett, and a drier, Chardonnay finish.

Bottle: The aroma consists of citrus, floral notes, lemon/lemon peel, and a touch of white wine. It pours a hazy dull orange with a moderate orange tinged white head that leaves some spotty webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate orange and a touch of sweet tarts. The finish has light lemon, floral,a hint of white wine, and faint vanilla.

375ml bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy golden with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of brett tartness, light oak and wine, spiciness, some caramel/pale malts, and light bitterness. Flavor the same with a nice tartness. Average texture. A really good beer from this brewery.

Pours thick golden with a vague orange hue. Aroma brings sweet candi Brett and pure Chardonnay grapes like wine. Flavor brings juicy Chardonnay grape wine flavors without too dry of an ending. Body is full and delicious.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2012 Bottle poured a golden amber in color with a one finger white head that had great retention for a barrel aged beer. Aroma has Chardonnay, oak, Belgian yeast, brett, lemon, and grassy hops. This has such a big barrel influence and is such a great addition to the base beer. Mouth feel is medium and it has medium high carbonation! They finally have nailed the carbonation in a barrel aged beer! Flavor has loads of Chardonnay barrel, brett, Belgian yeast, grass, plenty of malt from the base beer, and a bit of heat on the back end. Wow! The base golden beer totally goes with the barrel treatment. I appreciate the fruit and grapes and did I say the barrel treatment kicks it up a big notch! Holy cow these guys have totally pulled off a beer to compete with the big boys!

Bottle shared by mattyb83 side by side with can on 668. Pours a hazy golden with a medium off-white head. Aroma has an full Chardonnay aspect which is well balanced with the brett. Taste of Chardonnay and brett which really balances out the Belgian yeast in to a general not overpowering sweetness, and dry and bitter. The Chardonnay really helps round out the Belgian yeast for me.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2014 Bottle: 268/446, batch 2. Translucent, burnt gold with a small white head that reduces to a ring instantly. Aroma is great; tart lemons, zesty lacto, vinous oak, some nice white wine, mellow funk, wet hay and some damp wood. Aroma gets the glands pumping. Taste is very nice; lemons, a touch of acidity and lacto bacteria, some nice tartness, mild vinous notes, a hint of wine-like alcoholic warmth. Oaky finish with a bite of tartness; dry, lingering with a bit of cotton and hay funk. This stuff is seriously great.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy, hazy dark gold. Minimal head. Nose full if Brett and nice and fruity. Taste is slightly tart and not nearly as sour as expected by the nose. Very enjoyable. Not mouth puckering. Very enjoyable.

375mL bottle, thanks to BriceNice, 08/10/2013. Pours golden orange, fluffy white head dies to a nice crema covering the surface, stiff lacing left behind around the glass. Aroma is green grapes and tart green apple, Chardonnay barrel quite apparent, creamy vanilla pale malts, honey and yeast, brett drying things out a bit near the end. Taste is bready pale malts, quite spicy, pear, apricot and light fruity orange, light caramel and brett character, big boozy oak finish. Medium body. Great beer.
