500ml bottle shared by mattyb83. Pours a hazy, fuzzy navel wine cooler looking, orange with a big, two finger, frothy head. I can smell this beer a foot away from my glass. Big white grape and oak notes are predominant in the aroma with a healthy dose of barnyard brett funk. A lot fruitier(peach, apricot,) than the neighbor, this retains a lot of the same characteristics yet has a bit more creaminess and a lot of funk, oak tannins, and some cool white grape notes. Not nearly as dry as I expected. Thanks Matty!

2013 Vintage, Bottle #75/446
Tasted on 7/18/14 from a capped 375mL bottle sent to me as an awesome extra in a trade. Pours cloudy, muted orange with a thick, rocky white head that slowly recedes to average, messy and rocky lace. The nose is full of funky and spicy brett with plenty of fruity Chardonnay, a touch of the malolactic butter that comes along with Chardonnay, and plenty of vanilla oak and orange blossom honey. The flavor is not quite as funky, with more spicy yeast, the same lightly oaked Chardonnnay, plenty fruity, and some orange blossom. The body is medium with average carbonation, a bit of tannin, and a long funky and spicy oaky Chardonnay finish. This beer is very good.

Bottle share from Homer321. Pours a lightly hazy orange color, lightly effervescent. Tart, sour, fruity, almost like a pineapple character aroma. Tart, bretty, light citrusy, nice and refreshing.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy, hazy dark gold. Minimal head. Nose full if Brett and nice and fruity. Taste is slightly tart and not nearly as sour as expected by the nose. Very enjoyable. Not mouth puckering. Very enjoyable.

Hazy golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of Chardonnay, buttery wood, spices, wild yeast and citrus. Taste of citrus, light spices, vanilla, Brett, and a drier, Chardonnay finish.

Pours thick golden with a vague orange hue. Aroma brings sweet candi Brett and pure Chardonnay grapes like wine. Flavor brings juicy Chardonnay grape wine flavors without too dry of an ending. Body is full and delicious.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2014 Bottle: 268/446, batch 2. Translucent, burnt gold with a small white head that reduces to a ring instantly. Aroma is great; tart lemons, zesty lacto, vinous oak, some nice white wine, mellow funk, wet hay and some damp wood. Aroma gets the glands pumping. Taste is very nice; lemons, a touch of acidity and lacto bacteria, some nice tartness, mild vinous notes, a hint of wine-like alcoholic warmth. Oaky finish with a bite of tartness; dry, lingering with a bit of cotton and hay funk. This stuff is seriously great.

375mL bottle, thanks to BriceNice, 08/10/2013. Pours golden orange, fluffy white head dies to a nice crema covering the surface, stiff lacing left behind around the glass. Aroma is green grapes and tart green apple, Chardonnay barrel quite apparent, creamy vanilla pale malts, honey and yeast, brett drying things out a bit near the end. Taste is bready pale malts, quite spicy, pear, apricot and light fruity orange, light caramel and brett character, big boozy oak finish. Medium body. Great beer.

375ml bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy golden with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of brett tartness, light oak and wine, spiciness, some caramel/pale malts, and light bitterness. Flavor the same with a nice tartness. Average texture. A really good beer from this brewery.

Bottle from Gianni. Hazier in color than the neighbor of the beast but similar in color. This is a bit darker, but the head on this is larger and fluffier. After spending the last 10 minutes with the neighbor of the beast I’m heading back to this one. The fluffy head is still sitting there. Great retention, but that doesn’t mean a whole lot for the rating. It’s a notch above the neighbor of the beast. Lovely aroma with cardamom, chardonnay grapes, more apricot, and some peach. I really like this aroma, but when comparing it to the neighbor I like them both about the same but for different reasons. This lacks that big honey note that I got from the neighbor, but it has loads more fruit in it. Lots of brett in the taste. Great fruit and funk and some floral notes. Just slightly reminds me of Orval, but this has a bit more going on. I, fucking, dig this quite a bit.
