Draft at the brewery. Pours hazy hold with a thin creamy head. Tastes bready, like wheat, nuts, tobacco, and alcohol. Light body and medium carbonation. Smells musky.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Boring pour: transparent yellow-gold with zero head or lace. Sweet Belgian spice and malt join together, providing a more sweetened experience than it should be. Forgettable.

Can (not the can pictured, though). First time ever having this. Pours a hazy gold, little wispy white islands. Definitely the Belgian spice/Belgian yeast feel to it. A bit spicy but not heavy. Easy to drink. Good beer.

From notes. First reviewed 1/19/2011. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a tulip. Thanks to bauermj for hooking me up with this extra.
This pours a very robust golden color, with hints of orange and amber in the center. A thinner peach color dominates the edges. Very hazy, with a fluffy 3 cm white head forming after this beer streams out of the can. Good retention and nice lacing.
Lots of tropical fruit up in the nose up front - pineapple, banana, pear, white grape. Grassy hop aroma as well.
Some strong fruit flavors go along with a pale malt presence up front. Pineapple and white grape to start, a smattering of typical Belgian yeast, cloves, and then some grassy hops to finish it off. The alcohol comes through right at the end as it warms up a little bit. Just a flash and it is gone, leaving just a little reminder in the aftertaste. A lingering bitterness is present as well. The grassy hops combined with the alcohol are a little rough on my palette.
The mouthfeel starts a little bit juicy but dries out in a hurry. By the end this is quite a dry beast. Lots of crisp, bubbly carbonation present throughout to the extent it makes my tongue tingle, while still retaining a creamy quality to it. A medium body drinks lighter, even with the high alcohol. Some hoppy residue hides behind the lips after each sip.
This style gets me in trouble every time. The combination of fruit and dryness allow me to drink it fairly easily without realizing how fast 9% can catch up to you. The alcohol is a bit more present here, but it is well done.

Can from Gianni! Thanks for these. Trying this side-by-side with the chardonneighbor of the beast. Hazy, golden honey in color with a small white head. Loads of honey, floral notes, apricot, candy sugar. Intense. Love it. Taste is fruity with more apricot and candy sugar, maybe a touch of honey, some pepper and cardamom. Not overly rich, nice full body, delicious. Best belgian style beer that comes from a can that Iíve ever had. Wow! Iím excited to see what the chardonneighbor is like.

Draft @ Coalhouse Pizza, Stamford, CT. Pours a blonde body with nice lacing, this brew has a creamy orange taste with noticeable wheat flavors. A little to fluffy and yeasty for my liking.

Hazy gold pour with a sizeable head. Yeast, banana, clove and spicey aroma. Taste is the same, also getting honey, some grains, lemony and grassy. Light body. Now where was this when the weather was hotter?

11/22/13. Been wanting to try this for a while! Pours cloudy straw-gold with a thick, fluffy white head. Aroma is wheat, citrus, farmyard sour, grass, banana, earth, spicy, hint of bubblegum, Belgian Yeast. Taste is clean, crisp, fruity, herbal, some bitter fruit rind, Belgian yeast is ever present, simple, nice; finish is bitter fruit rind and Belgian yeast. This is a fine Belgian style from (from someone not partial to the style). Beautiful lacing. Medium carbonation. Full but wet, liquid mouth feel; not coating. Really tasty, nice. VERY enjoyable!

Was stoked to find this on the tap list at Plan B burger in Glastonbury, CT. Served in a nice thick Belgian style chalice. Just some notes I jotted down in my phone. A - Decent head that faded to lacing that lasted the entire beer. Fairly cloudy and a nice golden hue. S - Very typical of a Belgian style brew. Bread, yeast, and some light fruit towards the end. Theres also some noticeable alcohol and hops. T - Very bready and yeasty, with some fruits. Some banana, pineapple and apricots. Black pepper, lemon grass, and herbs/spices as well. Bitter and dry finish. Another high ABV beer, with almost no alcohol flavor. Really refreshing and the carbonation/mouth feel worked well. O - NEBCO knocked it out of the park with this one. I wish I could find cans in my area, but fresh on tap with a blue cheese burger made for an awesome lunch.
