4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler filled a week ago, thanks paul. resin and spruce, hops with a touch of citrus. Loaded with hops with a lower bitterness than you would expect from all the hops but still very prominent. Pretty good stuff.

12 oz. draft at J. Timothy's in Plainville, CT. Hazy golden orange pour, white head. Aroma is massive citrus including orange and pineapple, piney resiny hops. Taste is sweet malt with some pineapple, grapefruit and orange flavors. Decent amount of pine and hop bitterness. Nice DIPA.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from growler into a tulip. Pours cloudy golden-straw with a nice white head. Aroma is grapefruit heavy, a little resin, and earthyness. Taste is very citrus hopped, mild sweetness to balance out the hops, dank, with a bit of grape pez on the back end. Medium body, perfect carbonation, a bit oily on the palate. Great beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Orangish-yellow, hazy, thing white head. Somewhat subdued aroma of grapefruit, orange, peach, resin, and cracker malt. Light sweetness followed by pine bitterness and a good amount of maltiness. Smooth, well carbed, and barely medium-bodied. Long resinous finish with a bit of booziness

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a rich hazy yellow golden color with a finger of sticky white foam. Nice hop forward beer with punches of dank herbalness, citrus and musky straw. Nice underlying malt sweetness helps round out the mouthfeel and ease into the bitter finish.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught at EBF, 3/22/14
Pale-golden body with some light amber tints, high clarity and a medium amount of white head with strong retention.
Great citrus and tropical fruit blend in the nose, hightly aromatic, and with a sweetness that seems partially malt-driven, but also from the hop fruitiness, almost reminiscent of cherries. Anyhow, not as malty as the Gandhi Bot, thankfully, and less leafy/earthy/woody of a hop presence. This one is all bright, crisp perfumey floral hop aromatics mixed with juicy tropical fruits. Alcohol and a touch of resin have a brief flash on the finish, but are otherwise very well-controlled. High strength of aroma.
Bitter up front, quite a bit so, with an almost wintergreen like floral flavor that slowly succumbs to a bit of malt sweetness and juicy fruit hoppiness. High carbonation helps break up the thicker than expected body but some dry pine flavors do emerge on the finish. Nicely dry and attenuated, though, despite the big body on it and drinkable, if perhaps a bit too aggressive for me, overall. Top notch aroma, though, that’s for sure.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Draft at Gingerman. Pour has a thick one finger head that fell slowly and retained very well. Aroma is huge with pineapple, sweet fruit, citrus zest, and straight hop oils. Mouth feel is medium with average carbonation. Flavor is again huge on the hops, tropical, pineapple, citrus rind, and light bitterness on the side of the tongue. Great hop profile with a clean malt side allowing all the hop goodness to shine. These guys are nailing the hoppy beers.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2015 In short: A highly aromatic DIPA bursting with fresh fruits. Highly drinkable. My type of DIPA.
How: Growler shared at post HF FoFA 2013 party.
The look: Cloudy dark orange body topped by a medium off-white head.
In long: Highly aromatic hoppy nose bursting with passion fruits, tangerines others. In mouth the beer offers a nice mouthfeel with a medium-to-full body and a lively carbonation. Taste lives up to the aroma. Fresh tangerines, fresh mangos, fresh ruby red grapefruits, fresh everything. This one packs a lot of flavors and those flavors have a great freshness quality to them. This Double IPA is along the lines of what HF and Tired Hands are doing. I had a lot to drink that night, and at this point ion the party my head was starting to spin, clockwise, must be the Coriolis effect.
