Pours a cloudy honey color with minimal head. Aromas of citrus fruit and pine, with tons of juicy hop aroma. Taste is juicy fruit, sharp pine. Minimal malt. Finishes dry with a lingering bitterness. Very good.

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2013 Best beer in CT. Great hoppy flavor with about 10%abv. Very hard to come by since they only distribute like once a month. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Enjoyable DIPA. Strikes a nice balance of hops and malt, as expected. Piney hop character. Good beer thatís definitely worth a try.

12oz can from my buddy elliot. Thanks. Pretty kickin beer. Orange, citrus and a little tropical tartness. DIPA in a can? I think so!

12oz can shared by Ben, thanks! Pours a nice bright orange with a thick white head and lacing through out the entire glass, the aroma has a bunch of citrus and tropical fruit mixed in, the flavor has a nice hoppy front end thatís balanced in the finish, not overpoweringly hoppy by any means but fruity at the same time, really nice.

Pours a hazy golden with white head and good lacing. Aroma have lots of citrus, tropical fruits. Taste is loaded with grapefruits, pineapple, mangos, ornage peel, pine, some spicy notes, little sweetness but nothing too overwhelming. Medium body and medium carb. Delicious. Wish i had acces to this regulary.

Can: Poured a cloudy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of strong grassy hops notes with light residual sugar notes. Taste is dominated by powerful floral grassy hops with light citrus notes and semi-sweet malt non-descript malt base. Body is full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very enjoyable IIPA which is focus more on floral hops notes with limited bitterness.

I poured a 12oz can into a tulip glass. I believe the code on the can means it was canned on 1/9/13 making it four months and 11 days old. It cost $4.20 ($0.35 per ounce).

Appearance: A glowing apricot skin hue of gold/light orange. Extremely hazy. Forms a large, white, foamy head which surprisingly dissipates but does lace the glass well.

Smell: Strong tropical fruit juice plus fresh garlic. An odd, but inviting combination.

Taste: Local beer hipsters have been raving about the entire New England Brewing lineup, especially their double IPA, "Ghandi-Bot." I donít consider myself a beer hipster, but when people with good taste recommend a beer so strongly Iíll take their word for it. While this is indeed a very good beer and a good example of the style, itís not quite the mind-blower I was expecting.

Though it smells fruity and refreshing, Ghandi-Bot is actually more a spicy/earthy type of DIPA. It begins with a slightly sweet taste of apricot and orange juice, but then quickly gives way to intense dry bitterness. The backend continues the trend with a swoosh of garlic and onion-like flavors, while at the same time there is some grapefruit tartness. While this is certainly a tasty palette, itís not the kind Iíd consider among best-of-the-best brews of the style. Iíd always prefer citrus and juice to spice rack seasoning, but whatís here is still pretty good.

Drinkability: Though the taste isnít exactly what I prefer, the drinkability is right on the money. This is a fun, easy drinking experience. The mouthfeel is quite full with distinct, but contained energy. The texture is fairly comfortable and it goes down easily. There is a slightly dry aftertaste, but itís tolerable. The ABV is allegedly 8.8% ABV (neither the can nor the breweryís website says for sure), which is surprising because it drinks like something lighter than that. New England Brewing Ghandi-Bot would be an ideal accompaniment for a robust meal.

Growler at brewery. Pours cloudy golden with off-white foamy head. Moderate aroma of pine with citrus behind. Big bitter, hoppy, piney flavor carried by medium/big body with soft natural carbonation. Full and complex flavor profile evolves through well balanced middle tapering to an easy soft bitter end. Overall a lovely brew that invites you to savor every new sip. Fav.
