4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A beer I have had several times but never reviewed. A 12 oz can into a DFH shaped pint glass. I believe the store received this batch about 3 week ago?
A - A clear amber/copper body and a soapy off-white head. I have noticed some variation in appearance with this beer. Some are crystal clear, some have been cloudy, and others have had large grey yeast chunks floating around. The nature of micro brewing I guess. This can looked great.
S - Mango, papaya, grapefruit, piney hops, and some malt. Very fruity and smooth.
T - Fresh citrus fruit. Peaches, mango, pineapple, and grapefruit. There’s a nice smooth malt backbone here as well. The finish is dry bitter hops. The mouth feel is medium and has some nice carbonation. Doesn’t feel oily or slick, very nice.
O - I’m not just being a homer when I say I love this beer. Its one of my favorite DIPA’s. Its filled with tons of piney, citrusy hoppy goodness but it is never overwhelming or too intense. It keeps its high ABV in check too. I love the fact that its in cans and the artwork is certainly interesting. CT’s finest for sure.

Can pour thanks (DalzAle). Pours pale amber with a quick white head. Aroma is dirty laundry hops (in a good way). Taste is bitter and dry hops with some lemons and orange rind. Palate is medium and sticky with a dry finish. Tasty!

12 oz. can. A golden beer with a small head. The aroma has pine, citrus, and floral. A nice hop aroma without being overpowering. Definitely more balanced for a DIPA. The taste has pine and citrus. This is a solid DIPA and would definitely buy this if it was available to me locally.

12oz can from StFun . Pours cloudy orange with a one finger white head that left nice lacing. The nose is caramel, perfume, ripe citrus and light pine. The taste is caramel, tropical fruits, orange peel and a nice long lasting bitter resin finish. Medium semi-creamy mouthfeel . Nice DIPA. Thanks again Josh!

12oz can, unknown date. Served at around 45F. Huge thanks to Ryan for this one!
Pours hazy orange/gold with a one finger white head that recedes to a wispy cap and leaves some sheets of lacing behind.
Aroma is wonderfully citrusy and tropical, pineapple, orange, lemon, grapefruit, peach, along with some floral and pine notes, also some bread and yeast. Very good strength.
Flavor is strong on grapefruit citrus, pineapple, orange, peach & apricot, a little bit of mint and pine moving to a bit of bread & caramel malt in the middle and a great bitter citrus rind finish. Some spiciness & alcohol detected at the end.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a little oily, moderate carbonation.
This is one tasty Double IPA. Wow. My style of DIPA too...very hop forward without too much malt sweetness or booze interfering with the hops. Quite a treat to get a chance to try this!

And the black people are all like, "hey bitch!" and the Indian people, we do not call our women in such a way.

12 oz. can from cletus. Pours a hazy dark golden color with a small off white head. The aroma rolls from the can with grapefruit citrus, pine and perfumy hops. Some caramel malt sweetness is also there. The flavor has grapefruit citrus and resiny hops, toffee with some bready malts. This is not overly sweet. There is a good amount of hops with nice bitterness through the finish. I am really into seeking out craft beers that are in cans.

Can via trade. Pours a hazy orange with white head. Aroma is very slight with some hops and pine and more malt at the end. Definitely more malt forward but done on purpose. East Coast DIPA. Hops come out near the middle to end and have a nice closing taste. Some slight citrus and pine. Mouth feel is slight resin and a little bit at the end. Overall, a nice and balanced DIPA. Very much East Coast DIPA that has its place. Not overwhelming enough to actively seek out again.
