4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Can courtesy of Rick, owner of Lardo, in Portland, OR. Colour...cloudy amber-gold with a thick white head. Nose...quite fruity and piney, all at once, with hints of pineapple and quince. Palate...very frothy and quite well balanced between the grapefruit and pine flavours. There’s a sweetness here but the overall balance is quite nice and does not allow either hop or malt to take charge.

Draft at the brewery. Pours hazy copper gold with almost no head. Smells fantastic, like sweet grapefruit candy hops. Tastes dry and tangy, like tobacco, sour apple, and citrus funky hops. Medium body and carbonation.

Tap at brewery. Pours mostly clear amber with just a trace of fizzy off-white head. Aroma is dank and floral hops, biscuit and cereal malts, fresh cut grass, citrus fruit, and light herbs. Flavor is great hop bitterness, light fruit esters, and some dry malts; dry finish with some lingering bitterness. Medium body and low carbonation.

On tap at the abbey. Aroma a great blend of citrus, pine, and grassy hops. Flavor was a bit washed out for some reason, and the mouthfeel was thin.

The grapefruit notes come flying thru. A great IPA ! I might prefer a little more malt backbone, but there are other IPA’s for that. Domo origato Ghandi bot

Snifter at Blue Monk on 7/7/13. Pours clear amber in color with a medium off-white head. Citrusy and piney nose with specific notes of grapefruit along with some maltiness. Malty flavor up front, quickly supplanted by oniony spiciness before a bitter grapefruit finish.

Can @ home, courtesy of BlackIPA. Thanks bro! Pours a hazy, dull orange appearance with a creamy colored head. Big fucken dank hoppy, very spicy, grapefruity, piney aroma. Moderately citrus juicy, piney hoppy, ganja bomb flavor. A bit floral, slightly bitter, hop explosion. Booze is hidden well and an easy drinking brew. Easily chuggable which gets a bonus point in my book.
