Draft at Birch Hill Tavern. Pours hazy apricot color with pretty, large-bubbled head. Aroma is very pleasant with dank hops, light tropical fruit, and citrus peel--nothing out of the ordinary but fresh and juicy and smellable. Taste is much drier and aggressive, in the direction of Heady in terms of pine and sweet malts but dialed back, with sweet orange and mango. Very drinkable for the ABV. Excellent.

Shared at Craft. Turbid gold pour with frothy, off-white head. Nose was hoppy, piney, with spare malt. Hoppy and floral flavor, crisp, smooth, some fruity notes.

At the source: light orange with a white head. Aroma is grapefruit, resin, pine, and all that standard dipa stuff. Nice sharp hoppiness. Kind of lightly sweet. Lingering aftertaste for quite a while. Hefty but drinkable. Pretty nice.

Sample at NEBCo with koleminer20. 100th beer of the trip. Aroma is grass, floral, tropical fruit sweetness, resin. Appearance is golden amber, mostly clear, white head. Taste is tropical fruit, slight malt, pine, floral. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light crisp carbonation, pine resin aftertaste. Overall, NEBCo has mouthfeel down. This one is solid.

On draft at NEBCO. The pour is a golden orange with a thinner white head that leaves an awesome head as it falls. The aroma is bitter hops for days. Light dank, but the bright juicy hops linger on for quite some time. The flavor is a little more piney and resin based. There is a good juiciness and a hint of leave hop. It’s not too shabby. The mouth feel is crisp and well carbonated with a lasting bitter hop and juice finish. The amount of juice on the back end really bearings this one together for me. Nice surprise.

Can @ home. Hazy yellow to light orange color, medium sized white to off-white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is lightly malts, lovely fruity, grapefruit, citrus, slightly lime. Taste lightly malts, fruityness, grapefruit, citrus, again slightly lime, moderately bitter. Nice fruit bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation. Not a typical Double IPA imo, but a quite pleasant hoppy beer.
