750mL from Ernesto! Thanks! Pour is a nice dark with offwhite head.. Taste is bitter and roasty easy drinking for the ABV but this is a way more collectible awesome bottle than its contents, on it’s own it’s a heck of a solid stout but not earth shattering
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gription79 (595) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - JAN 22, 2012
750 ml bottle
Aroma: caramel, dark chocolate, dark stone fruits(black cherries)
Appearance: one of he blackest imperial stouts I have had, thin off white head
Taste: chocolate, dark stone fruit(black cherries again), smokey
Palate: thick and chewy
Overall: A great imperial stout with a wonderful balance between the roasted malts and sweetness. Easy drinking with the alcohol being well hidden.

Thanks to whoever brought this to the Inaugural "Imminent Liquidation Bottle Share" Event. I scored pours from both a bottle and a growler, but I got a bigger pour from the growler so...Growler poured into a taster glass.
A - Pours dark as night with a small half finger tall tan head, dissipating down to almost nothing, leaving light wisps of lacing down the glass.
S - Smells like your typical stout. Hints of dark roasted malt, coffee, bittersweet chocolate, light booze, and some hops sneaking in toward the end of the glass.
T - Starts off with some sweet roast up front giving way quickly to a mix of coffee and more chocolaty sweetness. Finish is a mix of sweet dark roasted malt and some light smokiness. Not bad but it really didn’t blow me away.
M - Heavy body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Rich, full, bodied with plenty of lingering dark roast in the finish.
D - Pretty good. I liked this one for what it is but it left me wanting something more. I feel like I have had this beer multiple times before, yet this is the first time I have had it.

Via trade with Ernesto987. The aroma is roasty, coffee beans, chocolate, molasses. The appearance is a deep black, lively light brown head. The flavor is chocolate, licorice, molasses, roasted coffee. medium/thick in body, oily in mouthfeel. The finish is coffee, roast, sweet, light pine needles. Excellent. Thanks, Ernesto.

Bottle@Home. Molasses, vanilla and black currant aroma. Black, light brown head, good lace. Starts sweet, then roasted, toasted, chocolate, hint of vanilla and very bitter in the finish. Soft start, harsh finish. Flavourful.

Black pour. Tan, big head. Fades quick and leaves lacing. Raisins, molasses, vanilla, roasted grains, malt. Complex to say the least. Pretty much the same in the mouth, with muted roasted notes under milky vanilla flavors. Very smooth drinking. Awesome beer.

750 mL Bottle. Thanks for sharing, Chas! Umami forward aroma. Lots of teriyaki, soy, and aged dark malts. Smooth, even flavors carry that jerky quality through, with a bit of aged hop, well blended alcohol and balanced sweetness. This is a very good stout. Not over the top, just right for the style I think, in the low hop range. I appreciate the age on this bottle (pre-glasses) and it’s melded well.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 beerisgoodforu (644) - Nørresundby, DENMARK - NOV 22, 2011
Bottle. Pours an almost pitch black color with a tan head. Aroma is of roasted malt, lots of chocolate, dark fruits, liquorice, dark caramel, burnt notes, cocoa and molasses. The flavor follows the nose, though not as chocolatey. I get roasted malt, molasses, dark fruits, dark caramel, brown sugar, burnt notes, coffee and some salty notes. The body is medium to full with a nice creamy and smooth mouthfeel. Overall a really interesting Impy Stout, but I have had better.
