Poured a rather light amber color with a white head that left a fair amount of lacing. Pine in the aroma, paired with light caramel and a biscuit aroma. Taste is much of the same, starts out with malt before the hops jump in and finish up. Mouthfeel was a little light, medium carbonation. Pretty good beer, and certainly worth trying. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 2, 2008 Buffed and translucent caramel orange in color with a stiff froth riding high in the tulip. Orange skins, aluminum, caramelized blood oranges, orange toffee bark and balsamic mandarins give basted, aromatic citric indices. Flavor keeps with a talc and toffee current amidst the orange graham cracker and marshmallow like sweetness. Casual carbonation treats with the rutabaga and orange rind sequence. Balsam and orange butter cream bring it home with a honeyed graham backbone. FLnative80 (174), Orlando, Florida, USA

Medium bodied with piney hops and bready, nutty malts dominating the aroma and flavor. More malty than other IPAs I’ve had but still pretty balanced. MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 24, 2008 Deep copper chestnut hue, with a medium but firm khaki head. Aroma is resiny hops, but somewhat restrained and no shortage of thick bready malts right along side. There’s a touch of a floral character, too. Toasted bready malts dominate the front end of this, there’s a mild citric (orange rind) and floral hop quality that streaks the sides of the tongue, and leads to a firmly hopped bitter finish. Lingering hop flavors are tart and resiny, but also vaguely green/grassy/vegetal. OldRaspy (292), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Aroma is lots,of caramel malt. Flavor starts out with sweet malt then flows right into the hop finish.
