DannyP (29), Connecticut, USA Dec 29, 2007 My favorite local (other than my own, of course) Pours a nice orange color with a white head. a nice mix of citrus and floral flavors, not overpowering. In my opinon, could actually be a bit stronger. Nice malt flavor as well. An unexpected hit in my book. I rarely drink beer from a can. nimbleprop (819), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA Dec 24, 2007 Great beer, even if the packaging is a bit tacky. Pours a translucent (nearly opaque) orange color with a frothy white head. Smells like you’d expect, citrus, pine, soap and all hops. Flavor was all the flavors from the aroma, grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, rounded out by malt to create a balance. Finish is bitter but mild. Worth grabbing and a good example of "don’t judge a book by it’s cover". malrubius (969), Valley Stream, New York, USA Dec 21, 2007 12 ounce can in pint glass. Copper color with beautiful dense tan head and lace. Mild lemony hop aroma. Well-rounded flavor fruity malt medium bitterness with some hop flavor. Fairly complex little can of beer. Enjoyable. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Dec 20, 2007 Can, Stockholm Beer Festival 2007 afterfestival at Per’s Amber color. No special aroma. Medium flavor, sweet caramel, good bitterness. Average. Edmoe (126), Orlando, Florida, USA Dec 17, 2007 Deep amber with an OK, off-white head. Some lacing. Head dissipated completely. Nice hoppy aroma; not overtly powerful, but pleasant. Taste is typical IPA. Bitterness balances sweetness nicely. Good mouthfeel. A slight taste of butter. I prefer hoppier, more floral IPAs, but this is still good. mj (4975), Colorado, USA Dec 17, 2007 12oz can thanks to the CHEESEMAN. Caramel brown color, strange for an IPA, but clear and nice looking, with sharp clarity and a decent looking fine-bubbled head that then quickly dies. Sweet caramel and munich malt nose, douchy maple sugar and a light bit of an orange juice hop note. Chewy and lightly sweet up front, with a mixture of sweet orange hop flavor with maple sugar and pecan nut bread malt notes. Not exactly an IPA but a well-brewed beer.
LooseCannon (914), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Dec 5, 2007 12oz can. Pours hazy amber in color with full foamy off white head. Aroma of floral hops.
