Nose is citurs with a malty touch. Flavor is nice and hoppy up front, yet washes out towards the end. Medium mouth feel with a decent balance of malt. Finish is clean with a nice bitter bite. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 8, 2007 I think this beer deserves a nomination for the "best beer in a can" debates that seem to pop-up on this site every week or so. It is a delight.
This beer pours a dark reddish amber with an abundant sticky head made up of miniscule bubbles. Aroma is the highlight of this beer; lots of light hop aroma with some sweetness. The smell also communicates a refreshing amount of effervescence. Mouthfeel was medium up-front...not watery but not overly substantial (nor syrupy). Maybe a tad too light. Taste was rather malty, but also balanced. Hops come out after a few sips (or maybe as it warmed up). The taste was full-bodied while remaining extremely drinkable. Beats the hell out of the much-acclaimed Dale’s Pale Ale in the best canned beer contest (IMO).
I bought this at Norm’s Wine & Beer in Vienna, VA during a Labor Day weekend visit. mcbackus (740), Merritt Island, Florida, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 7, 2007 I like a good head but this was ridiculous. Started to foam as soon as the can was opened. Took some time for the head to subside enough to pour the whole can. Left a brownish thick sculpture on top of a hazy dark orange. Moderate hop nose, although light seems mostly spice. Lots of malt, lots of woody spicy hops. Kind of a sour winy finish. Skyview (4020), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 7, 2007 Sampled from 12-oz can, supplied by JK at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear light brown amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head with minimal lacing and a thin ring. Aroma of citrus and pines with just a hint of caramel malt. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with a spicey caramel malt and mostly citrus flavor. Finish is slightly mild bitter that lingers around after the finish. Sure there’s a novelty aspect and all, but I love it. Anyway, cloudy orange, fluffy beige head. toasty, piney mildly sweet aroma. Nicely full bodied and smooth. Nicely caramel malts at first, then a woodsy, earthy finish. Tasty. Thanks to Ty5592 for the tade. TBone (6741), Pori, Finland

Clear amber color, not much head. Bready and hoppy aroma. Bready, hoppy flavor, same goes with aftertaste.
