Resin and citrus hops aroma. Flavor has a sharp hop bite. Lots of citrus and resin in the flavor as well. Nice balance in flavor with a caramel, cotton candy sweetness of a malt backbone. Wow. What a fresh taste, Sticky texture, chewy. Medium bodied. Finishes with an oily bitterness and a toasted malt flavor. dmschefke (371), Eastpointe, Michigan, USA

Pours a nice pale slightly amber orange with medium white head, decent lacing. Aroma nice of citrus hops, grass, and a decent malt backbone. Flavor matches well, but has an earthy character that some IPAs do that still leaves a good flavor, but knocks it down a few notches in my book. Mouthfeel is a bit slick, medium bodied, and leaves a nice lasting bitterness. BMan1113VR (2817), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 20, 2009 12 oz can courtesy of an extra from Cletus! A Conn rate! Thanks, John! Pours a decent overall well rounded amber, a bit of glowing orange from a good hazinessm small white head that dies to a film and laces some. Aromas are a bit malty, caramel and pale malts, a touch of stink, citrusy hops and a bit of florals. The slight funk mixes with grass and citrus, interesting.. different.. likely not intentional. Initial is better, light caramel and pale malts move way to a stronger hoppiness, bitter grapefruit, florals, and a touch of astringency. Cereal on the aftertaste with light bitterness remaining on the palate.Touch stink and stale bread make their way into the body, bitterness stays trying to help it on it’s way. This beer might be a little past it’s prime, aftertaste and palate isn’t bad, certainly a more sessionable IPA. Falls short though. ChristianScheffel (4481), Odense, Denmark

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 9, 2009 Can served in a stem glass. Pours hazy amber with a semi-lasting head. Smells of grass and nuts, slightly vegetal. Sweet nutty, caramel flavor backed up by some grassy hops. More of an English style IPA. Very slight amount of detectable bitterness. Mouthfeel is fuzzy and foamy. Not at all what you expect when you pick up a beer label as an IPA in the USA these days but not necessarily a bad thing. Was hoping for a bit more hop flavor though.
