| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 17, 2007 From a stubby 12 oz. can with a short blurb on the side, no freshness date, sampled after a few hours in the refrigerator in a pint glass.
Poured a reddish golden orange with a small, tight foamy off-white head that settled into a thin, slightly sudsy lacing.
Aromas of fresh pine needles and herbs, a light citrus rind and sweet grainy malts at the edges.
Good, steady moderate carbonation and a crisp, dry, hop sick, smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel.
A nice mix of hops, unique tasting, chewy herbal Noble hops, pine sap with dry needles, citrus rind, the hops have a lingering soft bitterness, an underneath toasted grainy, sugary malts, just enough sweetness to let you know they exist, the alcohol flavor flashes briefly at the end, and a dry hoppy, grainy finish.
Easy, smooth drinkability, a good change of pace IPA, well worth trying.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 14, 2007 Can. Another IPA in a can? Sure, why not? Brig ’em on! Pours a clear orange-amber with a huge lasting frothy off-white head. Nice lacing. Good looking beer. Mild but nice aroma of caramel malt and citrus hops. Flavour of
toasted malt, pine & citrus hops and a slightly bitter finish -- all nicely balanced and easy to drink. Medium bodied. Definitely one of the better IPAs in a can -- recommended! sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 13, 2007 Can. (Yes!). Poured clear orange/copper with a substantial frothy off-white head, leaving stripes of lacing. Aroma of caramel malt with a mild citrus hop essence and a bit of soapiness. Malty flavor of caramel with some tame and understated citrus and pine hops. Has an underlying earthy flavor (sassafras - bubblegum -rootbeer). Medium bodied, though the mouthfeel thins out after a while. While I’m craving more hops here, this is one of the better canned beers I’ve tried. Extra point for the can. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 10, 2007 Can from jah noth. Hazy copper body, medium creamy off-white head. Rich hoppy aroma with citrus, pine, and earthy notes, backed by sweet malts. Toasty body with notes of Cheerios and bitter, piney hops. Well-balanced and complex. The rich malt character really lifts this beer; this could pass for a hopped-up Irish Ale. shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 10, 2007 Pour is amber with a big creamy head of large and small bubbles. Nice lacing. Aroma is sweet and hoppy. As the description says, the hoppiness isn’t enough to chase off the newcomer, but enough to satisfy the craving of the hop head. Flavor is rich with caramel malts and a nice cleansing bitterness. This is an all-around very drinkable and enjoyable beer. JAF737300 (792), Tampa, Florida, USA
