COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This one's a beauty; a rich and full bodied India Pale Ale with complex malt character blended with cascade and noble hops. The end result is a beer that satisfies the "hop head" out there and won't chase away the newcomer. Drink it. It's good.

The beer pours like dehydrated piss with a creamy, slight off-white head of small sized bubbles that fizzle away a touch too quickly. In body the beer is golden yellow and clean of particles, but with a slight haze and opacity to it. On the nose, the beer smells of bitter, caramel pine needles. Big sticky resin mixes with bready caramel in an intriguing dance on the nostrils. A touch of dactyl might be present in the nose since the caramel does get a touch buttery. From the can the pine scent is much more resinous with a touch of dankness added. On the tongue, the beer is nicely bitter with a slightly warming sweetness that moves as you sip and balances the palate wrecking bitters nicely. The finish and aftertaste are surprisingly dry in comparison to the sweetness that is perceived during the sip. There is also a gentle acidity. In flavor the beer begins as pine pitch and bitter grapefruit. Medicinal bitters move in on the finish and aftertaste along with smooth, caramel bread. From the can, the caramel is more present in the middle of the sip and gives a nice balance to the beer. In the mouth, the beer feels medium in body with a middling carbonation and just a touch of astringency from the bitters. The mouthfeel is crisp with a touch of syrupiness. Overall, this is a solid IPA that I would love to have as a regular in my fridge. Great American IPA bitterness; this is not a super juicy or tropical IPA, it’s just classic bitters.

Really good. I think it's better canned than in tap. Very bitter! The nose is incredible off the foam. A little heat for this low abv. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can: Poured a deep orangey color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus hops with light dry floral notes is quite nice and refreshing. Taste is dominated by solid notes of fresh citrus hops with some dry flora notes also noticeable with a solid malt backbone with well-balanced sweetness level. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Nice mix of hops flavours with nice refreshing features.

Can. Pours hazy amber with creamy white head. Aroma is fresh grassy and piney hops with floral notes, biscuit and cereal malts, light citrus, and light toast. Flavor is hop bitterness throughout with a dry malt base and light grapefruit; dry finish with some lingering bitterness. Medium body and low carbonation.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2014 Can: Muddled and a lighter colored apple cider; opaque with rising bubbles and a beige skin and collar that leaves some lacing web. Aroma is some botanical, lightly spicy hops, and some resins. Spongy citrus and orange with just a hint of lemon pledge. Taste is substantially more bitter than the aroma; some pungency with light pine, herbal hops, hint of grapefruit juice and some bitter orange peel with a potent, rosy aftertaste. Very mild malt, some toasty bread and crackers. Smooth and slick mouth feel with low carbonation and a medium body. Pretty good IPA. In all honesty, not far behind Gandhi-Bot (for me, at least). Very drinkable, nice bitterness.

Vigorous pour into Alchemist stemless glass. Pours a cloudy amber color with a very thick foamy head that lingers for a long time. A very strong hoppy aroma that is quite pleasant. Unfortunately the flavor doesn't back it up. It's there, but more subtle. Mouthfeel is pretty smooth with a nice biting finish. Heavy lacing left behind on glass.

Hazy amber color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of pine hops, some caramel malt, & citrus; Flavor of malt, pine/resin hops, caramel, and citrus (notably grapefruit); Finish is bitter; A little aggressive - but not bad.
