COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This one's a beauty; a rich and full bodied India Pale Ale with complex malt character blended with cascade and noble hops. The end result is a beer that satisfies the "hop head" out there and won't chase away the newcomer. Drink it. It's good.

Poised a light orange color from the can with aromas of light biscuits, tropical fruit and some malt. Flavors were the same a light bitter orange peel flavor in the aftertaste but a basic IPA overall.

Blind #9 - 12oz can A: Appropriate gas exchange on pulling tab. Pours a hazy copper ale with a single finger of cream foam which falls to rolling hills of the same. Spotty on cobweb lacing. (3.5) S: Pine and fruits up front. Plenty of resiny hop character. Sweet character from the hops. Hints of apricot and apple meat. (3) T: really, really bitter. Alcohol is present and not well guarded. The bitterness is of orange peels. There are some flavors of onion and charred beef. Iím not too sure how I feel about this. Itís hardcore. (3) M: Medium-on-heavy bodied with high carbonation. Dry. (3) O: Iím on the fence with this beer. I did not anticipate the level of bitterness this holds. The alcohol seems poorly approached. I would call this average. (3) Guess: an IPA from someone - not enough malt to justify IIPA. Reveal: Sea Hag IPA Still not sure about this one - a bit too bitter for my preferences. Serving type: can 05-29-2011

Pours a lovely gold with a thick white head. Has a soft hop aroma with a nice bitter taste that I would expect but didnít wow me. Leaves an almost piney after taste.

Six pack of cans from Manchester W&L. Pours out a very ugly looking light honey color- very cloudy with lots and lots of chunks floating around. Classic Cascade aromas and flavors. Bitter citrus-spice finish, some malts but otherwise bitter and sticky. Good bite though.

The beer pours like dehydrated piss with a creamy, slight off-white head of small sized bubbles that fizzle away a touch too quickly. In body the beer is golden yellow and clean of particles, but with a slight haze and opacity to it. On the nose, the beer smells of bitter, caramel pine needles. Big sticky resin mixes with bready caramel in an intriguing dance on the nostrils. A touch of dactyl might be present in the nose since the caramel does get a touch buttery. From the can the pine scent is much more resinous with a touch of dankness added. On the tongue, the beer is nicely bitter with a slightly warming sweetness that moves as you sip and balances the palate wrecking bitters nicely. The finish and aftertaste are surprisingly dry in comparison to the sweetness that is perceived during the sip. There is also a gentle acidity. In flavor the beer begins as pine pitch and bitter grapefruit. Medicinal bitters move in on the finish and aftertaste along with smooth, caramel bread. From the can, the caramel is more present in the middle of the sip and gives a nice balance to the beer. In the mouth, the beer feels medium in body with a middling carbonation and just a touch of astringency from the bitters. The mouthfeel is crisp with a touch of syrupiness. Overall, this is a solid IPA that I would love to have as a regular in my fridge. Great American IPA bitterness; this is not a super juicy or tropical IPA, itís just classic bitters.

Really good. I think it's better canned than in tap. Very bitter! The nose is incredible off the foam. A little heat for this low abv. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
