Commercial Description:
This one's a beauty; a rich and full bodied India Pale Ale with complex malt character blended with cascade and noble hops. The end result is a beer that satisfies the "hop head" out there and won't chase away the newcomer. Drink it. It's good.

Can courtesy of Solan. Pale citrus aroma. Deep red body with creamy off white head. Citrus flavor in the middle of beer but the thicker malt presence made this ipa little heavy rather than cool and crisp. Good brew thought of it as blend of an APA and IPA mix.

Can. Pours a hazy, copy color with a medium sized head, frothy and white. Lacing is good. Aromas of strong spruce hops. Texture is wonderful with a bitter start, creamy middle, and oily finish. Taste is hops all the way but also nice hints of malts, orange, and lemon. Wonderfully tasting beer and one that I will be sure to enjoy going forward.

single bottle, $1.75. Pours murky orange with a medium-sized head. Aroma has pressed flowers, maple, and some ripe apricot. Body is perfectly carbonated, and finish is long. Initial flavors are incredibly malty, with caramel, maple syrup, and some toasted toffee. And as a hophead . . . I still loved it! Sea Hag finished with hoppy bitterness, more maple syrup, and red jolly rancher. Great brew, and definitely my favorite malty IPA I’ve tried so far.

12 oz can **Summary** - Picked up on a visit to Alexandria, VA, I decided to get a single. Coming from a can this competes well with some of the offerings from Oskar Blues. This makes a great beer for grilling out with or tailgating. **Aroma / Appearance** - Soft with an offwhite head the liquid was permeated by a bronze glow. Strong traces of spruce, sawdust, and resin made a solid blend that reminded me of a freshly waxed hardwood floor. **Flavor / Palate** - The bitterness starts from the first sip and turns into a meld of Early Grey tea and small pieces of starter firewood. Fluid it flows calmly across the palate then rests gently on the back of the throat with a lemony zest. Solid all around there are no flaws and quite a few strengths. This one should be on your radar if it isn’t already.

Muted hop aroma come from this hazy orange brew’s minimal off-white head. The flavor is more that of an APA or less. Not bad but I was expecting hops since this is labeled as an IPA.

On tap at Delaney’s Tap Room on a recent trip to New Haven A- Pours a clear amber/orange hue, ring of white foamy head sustains, layers of frothy head S- Crisp and clean caramel and biscuit malts, subtle grass hops in the background, unimpressive and dissipating T- Initial taste is light bitter hops, followed quickly by caramel malts, touch of citrus, finishes dry with slight alcohol M- Light-medium bodied, watery texture, high carbonation D- Surprisingly malt-forward IPA, the hops are very muted and I would have pegged this as more of an amber/red ale, also carbonation is too high and distracting

Can. Pours a murky rust body with lots of little floaties and a smallish tan head. The Cascade aroma is like a smack in the face with lots of pine and grapefruits. Hints of caramel in the aroma too. Thin to medium-bodied. A slight bit of caramel upfront keeps this from being completely one-sided taste-wise. Still, it’s pretty much all about the Cascades here - loads of grapefruits with a drying finish that lingers. Better classified as an APA?!? The guy below me can’t drink a beer worth shit!! P.S. - the can is RAD!!!!

12 oz. can. Poured slightly hazy copper with white head. Solid lacing. Nose is more sweet than citrusy. Nicely balanced with sweet caramel and hoppy, bitter finish. Probably better classified as an APA. Gay can.
