| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 12, 2008 Orange with a light tan head. Nice aroma of citrus hops, caramel malts, and light earth. Smooth body and not overly carbonated. The flavor seemed inspired by the UK; biscuit malts, lightly toasted, and some crisp citrus hops. Solid. otakuden (518), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 31, 2008 Updated: Aug 3, 2008New England Brewery gives proof once again that a micro brewery that can can will can. With a large selection of their beers sold only in cans, New England Brewery brings us their Sea Hag IPA.
The can pops with a hiss and hop aromas jump out to tickle and tease my nose as I pour her liquid golden amber blessing into my glass. Rich oily hops breathe orange and lemon essence, and with the first sip, hop bite and scamper across my tongue and through my mouth. A veritable hop explosion, but with a soft side for when I don’t want to overly assault my hop senses. Sea Hag glides down my throat with a light body and bright biting hints of orange, lemon, hop oils as they coat my tongue, and a bit of malt sweetness kicking in near the end. Sea Hag mellows a bit as she warms, allowing the overall palate to smoothly blend.
For someone looking for a good IPA that is neither a hop assault nor a weak imitation, grab yourself a Sea Hag, maybe even a real hag, and enjoy. blklab2007 (957), Connecticut, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 28, 2008 can poured a lightly orange amber color with a one finger off white head that fell to a thin layer on the surface. aroma has nice peach citrus hops, caramel malt that the hops run all over, fresh cut grass, and clover. medium light on the tongue with average carbonation. really nice hop profile that is not too citrus or resinous and brings in a richness. caramel malt underlying keeps it tied together and it finishes with grass and light bitterness at the sides of the tongue. good for an event that bottles are not allowed but at this price point there is much better to be had. ucusty (1881), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 11, 2008 Can from jjpm74 and RCL. Aroma is pretty toasty with some grassy and earthy hops. Pours a hazy orange amber with a thin lasting head. Soft malty sweeness, toast, earth, pine, and grass come through in the flavor. A soft bitterness lingers for a while. A smooth drinking beer.
