Ungstrup (14761), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 10, 2007 Can. A hazy amber beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and grass. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as grassy hoppy notes. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 28, 2007 (Can 35,5 cl) Courtesy of madsberg. Slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Fresh, lightly citrusy aroma. Medium body, lightly sweet caramel and a somewhat unrefined and one-dimensional hopping. So the promises of the aroma aren’t really fullfilled. 270607 omhper (12155), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 23, 2007 Canned. Clear amber. Striking lychee aroma. Caramelly with lots of cookie malt. Oakes (8080), gone rambling, Vietnam Feb 24, 2009 Hazy amber. The aroma is chewy with caramel malts followed by spicy hop. Lots of spicy hop on the palate, and a huge stack of stale, chewy malts. I like the noble hop idea, but the malts are terrible.
