PhillyBeer2112 (1842), Orange Park, Florida, USA Jun 24, 2008 Deep copper chestnut hue, with a medium but firm khaki head. Aroma is resiny hops, but somewhat restrained and no shortage of thick bready malts right along side. There’s a touch of a floral character, too. Toasted bready malts dominate the front end of this, there’s a mild citric (orange rind) and floral hop quality that streaks the sides of the tongue, and leads to a firmly hopped bitter finish. Lingering hop flavors are tart and resiny, but also vaguely green/grassy/vegetal.
KimJohansen (3259), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 3, 2008 Cloudy amber with medium white head. Sweet hoppy aroma with caramel notes. Sweet flavor with fruity, hoppy and vegy notes. Ends bitter. JohnC (1740), Mission Viejo, California, USA Aug 23, 2008 thanks to miketd for this one.
Opaque dark golden color with a huge off white head. The first thing that hit me was the maltiness up front in the flavor and the hops sneak in there for some very nice balance. This isn’t your ’hop bomb’ IPA, but an IPA with some nice balance and hoppiness. changeup45 (565), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 14, 2008 Bronze color and pours a decent sized head with some spotty lacing. Aroma is rather fresh with malts, caramel and sugary, candy hops. Sweet brown sugar flavor, thick toasty malt, caramel, resinous hops and some honey. Finishes slightly bitter and dry. Interesting flavors. It is a bit too sweet and malty of an IPA for my liking but it’s a good beer. maugus4ever (43), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA Aug 14, 2008 Pours light amber from the can with a very thin head. Citrus hops and slight malt aroma. Good hoppy flavor with enough malts to smooth it out nicely. Almost definitely the best beer I’ve ever had from a can! Rockinout (940), Kent, Ohio, USA Aug 13, 2008 A nice IPA coming out of a can. Hints of caramel, orange, and some bitterness rolling down my tongue. Great graphics on the can.
