A - Pours a bright cloudy yellow-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head reduces down to a layer on the top lacing nicely in the process.
S - Lots of tequila in the nose. There is also some nice oak characteristics. There is also a decent amount of citrus and floral hops beneath the tequila. Really different aroma.
T - Starts off very oaky with some sharp tequila flavor and some citrus hops. Also just of touch of malty sweetness in the background. Through the middle the tequila flavors really jump out with a touch of hop bitterness supporting. The finish has a ton of oak, and some more hop and tequila flavor. There is even a bit of vanilla mixed in. The lingering aftertaste is a mix of tequila and hops.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Sweet and dry finish is a really interesting and satisfying mix.
D - Fairly drinkable. Very interesting combination here with the DIPA and the tequila. There are a lot of strong flavors mixing together and it is much more of a sipping beer.

Sampled from the tap at NotB. Poured a clear gold with a white head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma had a note of tequila but was mainly pine hops with a grain/bread backbone. Flavor had an interesting combination of pine hops and tequila with a bit of bread backbone. Enjoyed the tequila barrel aging.

Thanks to sideshowe for sharing.
Pours a cloudy golden yellowish-orange color with golden banana hues when held to a light and a half finger off-white head that quickly fades. Minimal spots of lacing left behind.
Very strange aroma with a good bit of barrel character. Subtle earthy oak with a lot of tequila and vanilla. There’s also a decent amount of sweet citrus hops with hints of grapefruit and citrus rind. I’m also picking up pale malt with some graham cracker/biscuit character.
Medium bodied with a crazy flavor profile. An interesting blend of boozy sweet tequila and sweet citrus flavor. Decent barrel character with subtle oak and vanilla and a huge tequila flavor without being hot or boozy. Lots of alcohol flavor with out being abrasively hot. This is complimented nicely by the sweet citrus presence. Lots of lemon peel and grapefruit countered by a biscuit/graham cracker malt character.
This beer is really unique and odd tasting. I can see why a lot of people hate this beer but I loved it. If you don’t enjoy tequila you will hate this beer.

Huge mandarin, lime, and tequila aroma - explosive and intense. Flavor, though picks up a weird bitterness from the interaction of the tequila and hops. Gnarly stuff!

A: The pour is a clear golden/yellow color with almost no head. On further inspection, this is pretty much flat.
S: There is a rather intense fruitiness to the nose that seems to be of limes, lemons, and oranges. Sort of appropriate for tequila, I guess. There’s a bit of pepper, lots of oak, and even more tequila.
T: Again, tons of tequila comes through on the flavor. There’s a fair amount of oak, too. Again, lots of citrus fruits like lemons and limes, and especially lemon peel. I get some grass notes in there as well.
M: The body is medium with almost no carbonation whatsoever.
D: I’m happy to say this was nowhere near as bad as I had feared, but I don’t think I’m really interested in trying it again. Not really a big fan of this treatment.

500ml bottle.Bottle #211/713. I’ve had this one twice now. The first bottle had little to no carbonation and a really slimy/greasy texture. This current bottle is much better. Citrusy hops (papaya and orange zest) mingle fairly pleasantly on the nose with spicy black pepper agave soaked wood. Mango, pine resin and wood tannin. Pours a hazed orange with a frothy off-white head. The tequila barrel imparts a gentle wood and spice to compliment the heavily bitter base Gandhi Bot. The tequila isn’t overpowering at all. Agave spice meld fairly well with the resinous and bitter hop profile of the Gandhi. Lots of bitter orange zest and resin. Medium bodied with moderate to low carbonation. The finish is rather lengthy, dry and spicy with plenty of wood tannin and bitter hop resin. A unique (and fairly well executed) experiment. Thanks Joey!

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured cloudy amber color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop, lemon and pepper aroma. Medium to full body with slick smooth texture and flat carbonation. Heavy bittersweet flavor with a heavy spice bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout brew.

Thanks Brian for sending this my way! Bottle 157/713
A- Body is a somewhat murky pale amber hue. Pours with A 1/2 finger foamy bright white head. Traces of lacing are left behind in the glass.
S- Nose is good and quite interesting. Citrus and tropical fruits are the highlight with an almost equal amount of tequila behind it-a faint hint of pine also comes through.
T- Flavor is milder but very similar to the nose. Lots of fruit upfront-grapefruit, orange, mango...etc. with mild tequila in the background. The finish is almost all (moderate) tequila flavor with citrus and a mild kick of pine and spicy hops in the background- the barrel is there-but barely detectable. What lingers is a slight tequila heat, some pine resin and a touch of fruit.
M-Medium slightly soft carbonation and light body that is both smooth and tequila consistent.
D- This is good, very interesting brew. It really has a margarita feel to it-and I like Magaritas. The tequila is good-but a little hot. I do wish this brew weren’t a one time thing and Id like to see more tequila brews out there.
