Beer Bloggers Conference - San Diego - Dark brown in color, thin tan head. Big aroma with coffee and lots of chocolate. The flavor was thick with the same chocolate and coffee. Big beer.

Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Hard roasted malts, big roasted coffee notes, lighter sweetness hintsing at chocolate, and hints of burnt malt. Good, not great.

5300! Nice bitter combo of dark Belgian cocoa and coffee. Some hops and roasted malt in the background, but that’s really not the point with this one. Medium bodied and smooth even though well carbonated. Seems like 7%, not 9+."

BOTTLE. Shared with RW. poured jet black with big brown head. Insane coffee on the nose, with the choc coming through initially only to have the a huge thick coffee hit to finish it off. Highly recommend for Coffee beer fans! Sourced Cape Cellars

Smells of coca, coffee just like you want it, the brown light head is perfect, but the taste is what disappoints. Yes it is coffee, yes chocolate, but it’s way more bitter than sweet. With a chocolate stout, I need a little sweetness to even it out, it’s just not enough of it.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours very, very dark brown with a stern lightly tanned head which sits for the duration and leaves spotty lacing. Nose is is very rustic and earthy dark chocolate, fairly bitter, with a slightly sweet vanilla-forward strain of vibrant coffee through it. It really encapsulates bitter-sweet. Damn appealing. Taste is up front bitter espresso before the sweet vanilla follows through and slowly fades to dry, powdery dark chocolate with a hint of spice and hazelnut on the finish. Almost lactic. As it warms, the nose becomes closer to dusty coffee beans and it works a treat. Amazing beer

Wow! Unbelievable aroma full of chocolate & coffee notes! Phenomenally light & drinkable but quite complex in flavor! The pour is black w/ a mocha head & lacing. Crazy good!
