Brewed with whole bean "El Mundo" Colombian coffee from our good buddies over at ZUMBAR COFFEE on Roselle Street. This Stout is full of chocolate flavor courtesy of 22Lbs of Belgian 72% dark chocolate and the aforementioned Coffee kick in the ass all submerged in thick, black stout goodness and weighing in at 9.3% ABV.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted dark coffee, chocolate aroma. Medium to heavy dark sweet coffee flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a solid beer.

22oz bottle - thanks to alexsdad06 and tmoney99 for sharing. Black color. Thin brown head. Leaves good rows of lace. Very nice coffee nose on this. Dark chocolate, roast, heavy roast coffee, and vanilla. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Good chewiness, sort of a slick finish. Moderate to bigger sweet taste, lighter bitter. Alcohol is hinted at with a very light sweet bite in the finish. Solid imperial coffee stout overall... My kind of stuff

22 oz bottle shared by Tmoney99 and myself with DrSilverworm. Pours a dark cola brown color with a small beige head. The aroma has big coffee over top of some roasted malt and has. The flavor more balanced notes of black coffee, slightly burnt, chocolate, roasted malt, earthy bitterness, I keep thinking that I got some dark berry fruitiness through the coffee and roast, but I keep coming back to the coffee which gets strong more like espresso.

Appearance: Black and a off-white head. Smell: Lots of coffee and malty notes. Taste: Wow - Big coffee taste. Huge. Not a ton of chocolate. Great roasted character. Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Drinkability: Very enjoyable. Cool name. This is a beer I’d order again.

Bottle from Sprout’s: Poured a dirty used black motor oil with a thin formation of foam head which quickly broke down. Aroma is bold with a heavy whiff of roasted coffee and an assortment of roasted nuts while undeniable scent of black roasted malts fills in the rest. The drink is thick and heavy as should an Imperial stout carry itself. Flavors that come to mind are rich roast ground coffee bean, dark cacao chocolate bar, roasted down malt with a pleasant balance between bitter and sweet. Well crafted beer in bottle distribution always earns high points--Nice Job NE on this.

Bittersweet chocolate aroma. Pours dark brown with a foamy light brown head. Bitter at first sip then a long coffee finish.

On tap @ New English. Black in color with a khaki head. Lots of roasted malt, vanilla, coffee, and chocolate. A touch nutty, cocoa powder, and a bit of sweet dark fruit. Nice licorice aroma, too. A slight ashy note and bitterness on the palate. Big roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee. Nice vanilla sweetness, along with some dark fruit. Slight hazelnut and licorice. Probably the best of their beers.

Sample at Kurtkeller 005: Coffee-tastic 01 on 02/08/2014. Brownish-black color with a medium creamy beige head that diminishes slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Medium to full body with flavors of roasted coffee, dark chocolate and malt. The finish is roasty with a mild coffee aftertaste. Above average overall.
