4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A warm copper pour with a small layer of off-white head. A wonderful play between carmelly sweetness and tart apple in the nose, with some wonderful forest-in-fall aromas. Remarkably nice. Sweet apple predominates in the taste, but a pleasant malty base makes it clear this is still beer. Palate is surprising and very different. In spite of the sweetness, it has a crisp enough finish to avoid cloying stickiness. The sweet Auslese of beer. Thanks hezron, for a chance to taste this before it’s all gone...

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rusty nail/copper colored with a weak head that fizzed off quickly.
Banana, and appleseed aroma. Hefe yeast? I couldn’t find anything on the website about it, so who knows...
Taste is like banana nut muffins with a side of apple sauce, a bit too sweet for me, I like my fruit Beers on the tangy side better. It did remind me of a defunct Québec Beer that I used to love, Hopps aux pommes from Brasal.

(Bottle) Pours a dark, cloudy amber body with a thin, almonde coloured head. Nose of apple Slush Puppy. Very pitted, banana flavour with a sweet malt base. A tad syrup and artificial. Not my style but very good none the less. Many thankis to Muzzlehatch for sharing this at the 1st Annual Ciderwinder Tasting in Ottawa...

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours hazy dark orange with a thin greyish head. Strong apple aroma with hay notes. Mostly sweet. Apples, apples and apples in the flavor with hints of cinnamon. Quite sweet and full. Good, but very different.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Looks like a sparkling apple cider with a small fizzy head. Smells of apple butter, yeast and cinnamon. Flavor is most prominently apples (that’s a given) and cinnamon. Smooth, sturdy ale, looks thinner than it feels on palate, with a body similar to a thick cider. Accentuated carbonation and a sweet tartness - paired with caramel malts - help to balance the beer. Like a sweet, freshly dipped caramel apple. Finish is crisp and sweet. Courtland apple tartness fades and gives way to Jonathan apple sweetness. This is one that makes me proud of Wisconsin’s farming tradition.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of apples. The flavor is sweet with an OK presence of apples as well as slight notes of malt, and a dry end.

(Thanks to Garin Wright of the Buckeye Brewing Co. for sharing this at the Cleveland Local Gathering Feb 05)
What a nice fruit beer! Great aroma of fresh apple juice. Has elements of both sweet and sour apple. Slick body, with the apple being upfront and a little bit of malt peeking through. Finishes on the tart side, making this very easy to drink. Would make a great summer/dessert beer.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Some apple in the nose but it is subtle, but as the label promises, it is fresh. Hazy amber. Looks like aple cider with a thin off-white head, mostly diminishing. Sweet, apple. This is good. The right amount of sweetness, beeriness, carbonation and sharpness. Very finely made. Some spicy tartness. The only thing I might say against this brew is that it is slightly too sweet. But, that really isn’t a bad thing. I would imagine this would go fantastically with apple crisp.

Pours a murky, dark amber-brown with a diminishing off-white head. Initial earthy yeast aromas. Strong aromas of apples come through and build as the head fades. Very brilliant apple flavors while staying complex. The malt and hops tame the apple, keeping it from tasting like pure apple juice. Malt has flavors of caramel and brown sugar, perfect compliments to the apple. Body is medium, creamy with a lively carbonation. I wish they would keep brewing this.
