COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Apple Ale sings with the fresh crisp taste of Wisconsin Apples. Our brewmaster begins with a brown ale base employing Wisconsin farmed wheat and a blend of Cortland, MacIntosh and Jonathan apples. Our apple growing friends squeeze them especially for this brew. Expect this ale to pour a beautiful copper color. The fresh bouquet of Apple will rise to meet you even before the glass touches your lips.

Bottle at RBJG#2 - Grand Tasting Tim’s Place. Clear yellow - white head. Apple, sweetness, acid, bubblegum, candy, banana, citrus, warming alcohol, too sweet.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2009 Light amber with some rather large bubbles for a craft beer. It smells overwhelmingly appley, in a candyish way, and without nuance. Sweet, appley, candyish, again without nuance. The malt lends body, and a sweetness in the finish that keeps it from being too much like a cider. But this is far too simple a beer for my tastes.

Clear amber color, small white head. Strong green apple juice aroma. Medium-bodied. Apple juice, light tartness, not overly sweet (no sugar added?). Nice cider/apple juice, nothing to do with beer :)

Clear gold amber beer, not much head but quite good carbonation. Nice aroma of fresh apples. Taste also rings of fresh apples but also there is a well balanced counterpoint of fermented apples. Very clean, like a cider, but much smoother and without the dry acidity. This beer is what cider wants to be when it grows up!

Bottled: Orange colour. Clear. Apple, sweetness, stearin in the aroma. Flaovur is very sweet and cloying. Obvious apple flavour, thats a bit too much for my likings. Ends on a very sweet note. Thanks Jeppe for sharing.

Bottle... Clear, copper/amber ale with a small, creamy, white head and decent retention. Rich, lightly spicy, fruity aroma. Silky, sweet, malty flavor. Not cloyingly sweet. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Short, enjoyable, fruity finish. All that said, this brew tastes like fresh apples! Another fun beer from New Glarus! Thanks to footbalm for the bottle.
