Apple Ale sings with the fresh crisp taste of Wisconsin Apples. Our brewmaster begins with a brown ale base employing Wisconsin farmed wheat and a blend of Cortland, MacIntosh and Jonathan apples. Our apple growing friends squeeze them especially for this brew. Expect this ale to pour a beautiful copper color. The fresh bouquet of Apple will rise to meet you even before the glass touches your lips.

Transparent copper color with a thin foamy head. Basicly a malty cider with high carbonation and a bit of a yeast flavor in the finish.

12 oz. bottle, courtesy of Skyview. Pours a clear gold color. Thin, bubbly white head. Aroma of apples and cinnamon. Initial bit of apple sweetness with tons of sugar, but this gives way to a nice malty touch. Finish is surprisingly clean. Very interesting beer.

Sweet, tangy aroma, and cloudy red pour with an off-white head. Sticky, sweet body. Flavor is full of apple with a sour finish.

Bottle, pours a bubbly, clear gold body with white head. Aroma of fresh picked apples and apple juice/cider. Flavor is similar, although almost candy-like, reminiscent of Jolly Rancher sour apple candy. Slightly tart near the finish. A little sticky and syrupy on the palate. This is okay, but nothing remarkable.

What another lovely beer from NG! Taste just like Wisconsin Apple Cider. I do wish it had more "beer" to it, whether that be in ABV or more malt I don’t know.

Pours a nice applejuice pour with a little head. Smell is apples and pears. Taste is pure applejuice. Sweet peaches. Overall a really good brew

Sweet nose of fresh apples is faint and fleeting, but very unique. Nice frothy white head that ligerns as a thin ring. Sparse lacing. Light, slightly hazy copper or orange/brown. Taste is stewed apples throughout. Slight cinnamon late, even a bit of heat. Palate is sharp up front then smooths out, but leaves a bitter aftertaste, like apple cores (hope they removed the seeds!). Extra credit for adventure.

Tart apple aroma with a hint if yeast. Cloudy gold with quickly dissipating white head. Tart apple with a sweet candy flavor. Really good.

Rusty nail/copper colored with a weak head that fizzed off quickly. Banana, and appleseed aroma. Hefe yeast? I couldn’t find anything on the website about it, so who knows... Taste is like banana nut muffins with a side of apple sauce, a bit too sweet for me, I like my fruit Beers on the tangy side better. It did remind me of a defunct Québec Beer that I used to love, Hopps aux pommes from Brasal.

I could drink a gallon of this. I can understand both the high ratings and the low ones too. If you like apple juice you will like this brew. From the first pour it looks like apple juice, it smells like apple juice, and it tastes like apple juice. It is not the most complex beer in the world, but it is very drinkable and makes for a GREAT summer beer.
