Apple Ale sings with the fresh crisp taste of Wisconsin Apples. Our brewmaster begins with a brown ale base employing Wisconsin farmed wheat and a blend of Cortland, MacIntosh and Jonathan apples. Our apple growing friends squeeze them especially for this brew. Expect this ale to pour a beautiful copper color. The fresh bouquet of Apple will rise to meet you even before the glass touches your lips.

Bottle shared by JCB. Thanks Jason. Been wanting to try this forever. Nose is sweet candied apple, honey, fresh apple cider. Flavor is a bit on the sweet side from what I would have liked, but it still tastes very natural and is not cloying at all. Wish it was a bit more carbonated and dry. Good, but not the great beer I wanted it to be.

Bottle in trade with noncaloric. Dark golen amber. Rich sugar apple and musty/yeast aroma. Tastes like the scent. Very apple cider-like. Big apple flavour. Sweet in a brown sugar quality. Would be hard to pick out from apple cider in a side by side. A bit of an edge to the taste musty or yeasty.

Unplugged bottle from Winter ’08 from Piggly Wiggly in North Kenosha. Pours amber colored/apple juice looking. Fizzy disappearing head, like a fizzy cider. Nose is fresh apple juice and some light beer notes of sweet malts. Pretty pleasant. Taste is sweet and definitely apple flavored. Beer is super effervescent. Aftertaste melds into a cider finish with malt taste. Definitely not dry, sweeter than I’d expect. Interesting, though more like an alcopop than beer, really.

Bottle poured clear gold, like apple juice. Aroma of tart apple, faint grain. Taste is very apple, very tart, with some light grain, though very faint. This is easier drinking than several apple juices. Very crisp and refreshing. I haven’t had too many fruit beers, but this one seems to be three parts fruit, one part beer. Overall, very refreshing, tastey brew.

Wow that’s appley! Sweet red delicious apple, honeycrisp aroma too. Clear gold, average head. I really like the solid base which prevents the aggressively sweet fruit from spinning out of control. Ends up being more fruit than beer, stronger character than most ciders. Good blend of apples here.

12 oz bottle courtesy of adrian910ss. Pours a copper colour with a foamy quickly dissipating white head. Aroma of motts apple juice and not much else. Tastes like carbonated apple juice. Disappointing!!

12 oz. unplugged bottle - pours clear, light orange-amber with trace white head; sweet apples, wheat, pie crust, apple juice; drinks with a light texture and slight fruity zing; there is plenty of sweetness, but never falling into a sugary mess; pretty nice though reminding me too much of apple juice and not nearly as transcending as the raspberry tart, fruit and depth wise

12oz bottle thanks to mikesgroove.
Appearance : Clear shiny amber with almost no head.
Aroma : Lots of apple with some acidic syrupy notes. Some cough syrup maybe. Interesting fruity notes but I’m not sure about the rest.
Taste : Lots of apple, some wheat. A bit acidic and syrupy. Palate is thin. I don’t think I’ve ever had a beer that thin. Finish is nice apples. No bitterness. Some wheat on the finish also.
Overall : Interesting stuff. Very drinkable. Carbonation is a little bit aggressive (fizzy) but I guess it was needed to balance the thin palate. Enjoyable apple profile thats for sure but I don’t think it’s a beer I would seek out again. Carbonation gets softer with time. Finish is a bit weak.

12 oz. brown bottle thanks to Skyview. A golden brown beer with a small head. The aroma has apples(duh!!), but comes off as a fermented apple juice. The taste is sweet and apple and not all that different than apple juice but with some alcohol. This is a lot like a cider.

12 ounce bottle thanks to Adam. Pours a clear dark amber color with a medium white head. A nice sweet apple aroma, reminds me of fresh cider. The flavor is very well done; smooth, crisp juicy apples, almost surprising that this is beer, no alcohol, just smooth and tasty apples, a bit of sweet malt/grain background. Very nice.
