Pours a clearish brown with a puffy off-white head that dissipates into about 3mm of head. The smell is very light, but lots of metallic aromas and hints of toast and caramel toward the finish. Metal is definitely the most noticeable by far. The flavor is quite roasty and toasty with that metallicness coming through quite strongly. Extremely light body and a thin texture with a fairly poppy carbonation. Finishes very clean and crisp.

pours cola brown with a medium tan head. aroma is toasted biscuit. taste is crisp and clean (and no caffeine. LOL) Kind of non-descript. mild sweetness on the finish. Not bad, but Uff-Da is a much better bock from NG.

12oz bottle - Kinda geeked up to try a new New Glarus product. I grilled up some mushroom stuffed cheese burgers with gruyere and smoked gouda and I thought this would go nicely, and it did. The aroma was a bit strange on this one. Cured meats, salami and capicola came to mind with some light earthyness to it. No noticeable hops. Flavor had some light meat marinade/steak sauce thing going on with some light bready sweetness, and a touch of toffee. Body was coca-cola brown, clear with a smallish tight white head. Not incredibly impressive, but tasty just the same.

A dark brown rubt color with a finger of cream colored head. Smells of dark fruit, cherry, raisin, apple, brown sugar. Taste is the some of the dark fruit, with banana, caramel malt sweetness, minor hop bitter, and a small bit of spice in the back. Medium carbonation and thin mouth. A good drinking bock with good flavors and sweetness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at a BOSS meeting thanks to Goetz. Pours dark brown with one finger of head. Aroma is slight roast and some caramel and nuttiness. Flavor follows medium bodied. Nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

"another pleasant offering from New Glarus, but not one that knocked my socks off. of the three bocks i’ve tried from them (Uff-da, Cabin Fever, and this) it is my least favorite. That said, it’s still a nice beer and over average for the style...they’ve just set the bar high. nice looking mahogany brown with fluffy tan head. feel is a little thinner, but smooth. aroma is nice - toasted malt and floral hops, but a little hard to detect. flavor similar, with some caramel and breadiness in there as well. last of 3 NG beers from a trade with Louis :("

bottle from Summer SS. aromas was best part of beer - toasted malts, nuttiness - great aroma - taste wasn’t as good - a little bland with a combo of over carbonation, spice, hop bite at end that wasn’t enjoyable.

Clear brown in color... Aroma of nuts, caramel, toffee, molasses... Flavor is nutty, light tobacco notes, plum... Solid bock, but not terribly exciting ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
