Apr 14, 2008 Sampled at the Hellbilly’s Hellraiser Phoenix tasting (4/13/08). Bottle courtesy of Hellbilly. The second fruit beer sampled on the night and one of my top 2 beers sampled overall. Pours a rich cloudy purplish maroon color with a pinkish head. Nose is cherry pie filling, maraschino cherries and cherry syrup for making snow cones. Palate is incredible. Sour cherry juice upfront, but gets sweeter like a cherry jolly rancher before it finishes nice and dry. Much more complex than its brother Raspberry Tart. Incredible beer and now one of my favorites.

Apr 13, 2008 Bottle- Ruby red, pink fluffy head, what an aroma!!! Calpol- sweet cherry, over fermented porridge *my wifes note* mmmm some spice there too, wow. Flavour: Wonderful spicey cherry flavour, very unique, very individual. Tart, sweet-sour, brilliant. A perfect summer drink, heck a perfect drink for any time of year!! Incredible

does not count  Apr 13, 2008 Amazing! Tried it first when we went for the New Glarus Brewing Company tour. It was one of the samples after the tour that day. I am not normally a beer drinker but I rave about this to everyone. You would think that it may not mesh just right for your palate initally, but the cherry notes are perfect, and almost provides a lingering sweet cherry aftertaste, over the initial boldness. The carbonation level is perfect, it is lightly carbonated in my opinion. There is no slack in the brewing of this gem, batch after batch this stuff is perfect. We now get this for every single one of our dinner parties because it pairs nicely with practically anything. Both Beer and Wine lovers can really enjoy New Glarus Belgian Red!

Apr 9, 2008 Updated: Jun 11, 2009I’m ratimg this one on style. 1 pt. 9 oz bottle of liquid dessert. the color is brownish red like overripe cherries,pours with big frothy head that dissapears quit quickly. each bottle is made with 1 pound of wisconsin cherries smells of cherriestaste like a cherry tart or turnover and even cher alsory pie this is a special fruit beer. malts are very faint.sweet cherry pie

Apr 8, 2008 750ml bottle from Badbeer. Pours a deep red color with some brown highlights. Just s few fizzy bubbles for a head. Smells like fresh cherries. Tastes like cherries, cherries and more cherries. Some malt mixed in there as well. Thin body, only faint carbonation.

Apr 8, 2008 wow I am suprised I am rating this this high...but I can’t really find a fault in it at all...would I trade for it....no but I would drink it and love it...a bit tooo sweet for me....but damn...I must say......great cherry flavor and not cloying at all damn good job!

Apr 5, 2008 Bottle from Ughsmash. Tastes like a ton of cherries. They really did a good job on this one and I can’t imagine a better cherry beer. The malt is still detectable and blends well with the fruit.
