Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Simply a cheery (not cherry) sweet aroma. Abundant flavor. The color is quite festive. This beer’s overall finish hints at a fine homemade cherry tart or pie. There is a slight fizzy, soda pop type feel to the beer at first, but it quickly fades into more of a hearty desert taste. Of the fruit style beers I’ve had, this is one of the best if not the best.

About an inch of head. Strong deep smell of cherry. Reddish brown in color. Slightly tart. No hint of alcohol. Cherry pie filling flavor.

Bottle shared at Cbus tasting number nine by the overly generous Moejuck. Thanks Joe!! I agree with previous rater. Smelled just like a cherry pie. Pour was a gorgeous ruby red. Taste was cherries and bread. I like belgians a lot and had never had a fruity one. This was very very good!

open up a can of thank you brand cherry pie filling and this is what i tasted. the pour was a nice red color and the aroma was clearly tart cherries and upon the first sip i thought to myself oh my god. not a fruit beer person but this beverage was incredible. its not an everyday drink but a dessert or on a cold night it would be wonderful.

Nice red color, aroma of sweet and tart cherries. Perfect for a special occasion or to share on a romantic night with your significant other. Doesn’t have a ’traditional’ beer taste so women who don’t like beer will even love this one

Thanks to KingpinIPA. Pour is a deep ruby red. Aroma is a cherries...marsciano cherries. Smells a bit like a cherry soda. Flavor is expectedly all cheety with a light fizz. I don’t know if it is just me, but this seems like an alco pop. Too sweet for me. Mouthfeel is nice...full and thick body.

[Bottle] Pours deep cloudy red with a small cream head. Aroma is strong of ripe red cherries (smells exactly like ones that I have picked straight from the tree) with just a hint of malt. Taste can only be described as liquid cherry pie--awesome, intense explosion in the mouth. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. If you like cherries then this is a must try.

(bottle) Pours red with very little head, but what’s there is light red. Aroma is largely cherries, and at first smelled very similar to a cherry 7-up. As the beer warmed however, and earthiness blended with the sweet cherry scent. The taste was an explosion of sweet cherry, with just a hint of tartness on the finish. Not an overly complex beer, but still very very good, and a perfect example of the style, this is going to be the measuring stick for any other fruit beer I drink.
