IlanMan (816), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Oct 3, 2007 Updated: Jan 17, 2009Pours a medium red with a light white head. Aroma is strong with cherries. I was just in Door county last weekend and they are well known for their cherries. This beer is filled with them and has a beautifully strong taste of them. The flavor is residual for a few minutes. This beer goes very well with a small meal. Highly recommend. 37steel (186), St. Charles, Illinois, USA Sep 30, 2007 750ml bottle. Cherries, cherries everywhere. Beautiful dark hazy red pour with a pink head. Aroma is strongly cherries. Taste is sour cherries. A little bit of the pit in there. Amazing beer. This is the beer you give to someone who doesn’t like beer. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA Sep 30, 2007 Bottle. Hazy dark red color with brownish head. Sour/sweet cherry aroma very strong. Sweet cherry, earthy, slightlytart, very nice. Medium bodied, slightly syrupy. Very much in the belgian tradition but so distinct at the same time. Once again, I like raspberry tart better. pantanap (1323), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 29, 2007 bottle.....aroma: sweet, tart and a big burst of cherries coming through the nose....appearance: resembling apple juice only a little bit darker. a slight existence of head but really almost non noticeable....taste: sweet, sour tart cherries, sugary but not off-putting......excellent excellent fruit beer as others have attested to. i’m in total agreement. yobdoog (1429), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Sep 28, 2007 Updated: May 5, 2008I love this brew. Had a five year old and a new to compare. The sour really come out in the new one. The aged one mellowed quite a but but the body was amazing. Still sour but an oak malt sour not just from the cherries. Beautiful red color with some light bubbles for the new one but the aged version had darkened and now has more of an unfiltered look. Still delicious anytime. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Sep 19, 2007 Updated: Mar 25, 2009Thanks to boboski for opening this brew. Pours a clear blood red with white head. Smells like sugar soaked sweet cherries simmering over the stove. Wow! Awesome aroma. Freshly picked perfectly ripe cherries. The flavor starts with hints of tartness and sour yeast that quickly get consumed by sweet and tart ripe cherries fresh from the cherry tree. It gets sweeter and sweeter and richer and richer before some sourness comes back into play. Great tasting brew. Wow! Thanks Jason.
