footy (334), scottsdale, Arizona, USA Feb 25, 2007 11/05. Hazy Brown/Red with small white head. Cherry Pie aroma. Some tartness with a thick sweetness. Very Filling. Definitely a dessert beer. Very Good. However I like the extra tartness with less sweetness of the Raspberry tart. DirtyMartini (194), Los Angeles, Alabama, USA Feb 20, 2007 thanks justincredible for the bottle. i gotta admit...the aroma is extremely reminiscent of Hawaiian Punch. the fruitiness plus the certain smell that comes off the sparkle and fizz. that said, i loved hawaiian punch as a kid. the flavor however is a whole other story. these are growing to become some of my favorite beers to drink. a tartness that grabs the palate...the sweetness of the cherries balancing the tartness...a sharp carbonation unlike most beers...or at least that wouldnt work in most beers. extremely enjoyable. not something you are going to pair with food (unless maybe dessert) but a beer you can have either on a summer day or as dessert or palate cleanser between all the big beers. Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 18, 2007 Updated: May 7, 2007Bottle from Buckybeer. Now, I really don’t care for fruit beers but this stuff is a masterpiece!! Hazy red color with fizzy head. Aroma was out of this world fresh cherry. The taste was of fresh sweet and sour cherries. Taste like grandmom’s cherry pie. Nice body and good tart finish. Not over powering puckering sour but just works with the sweetnes of the beer. WOW, what a great beer. I think I like fruit beers now! PeteOvertone (13), Ingleside, Illinois, USA Feb 16, 2007 Not sure why this beer is rated so high. It tastes like cherry Kool-Aid with alcohol in it. Not what I look for in a beer. However, It was good if you like Kool-Aid. I’m not familiar with fruit beers. It did have a nice finish. I think me and Drewbeerme had the same beers lined up for the Superbowl. Worth trying. bgburdman9 (822), Columbus, Ohio, USA Feb 16, 2007 Bottle thanks to captain cougar. This poured a cloudy reddish brown color. Aroma was pretty strong cherries and some light maltiness. Flavor seemed very sweet. The only thing wrong was that this seemed little one dimensional to me. All fruit and maybe a slight tartness but not much else. Still a great tasting beer. Seemed very juice like. Hoptiludrop (9), Chicago, Illinois, USA does not count Feb 16, 2007 I cannot really detect any malt or hop flavor, however that is not bad since this has cherry flavor so complex that it makes up for it. A sentiment I share with many of you is a wariness of fruit beers, but this is trully excellent. There is no cough syrup flavor or texture. The sweetness and tartness are in perfect harmony. Must try it. jason (1620), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 14, 2007 Bottle thanks to Santa. Poured a Cloudy red/brown body with a decent head. Aroma is of sweet cherries, very nice smell. Taste is cherry, slightly sour and tart with decent carbonation. Very smooth and leaves a slight syrupy aftertatse. Awesome fruit beer. fatpaul (11), Berlin, Wisconsin, USA Feb 11, 2007 Pours dark, cloudy red. Aroma of cherry pie. Taste of cherry pie, with a little sour. There is a little oak flavor in it. It’s pretty sweet, but not disgustingly so. It is the best cherry beer I’ve ever had and will be purchasing again.
