Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Brought to the table by our beer pimp Brian! enjoyed with Uncle Steve, Our own "Book’em Dann-o) Celticbrew, and the Crystal Coast’s own Marcus Welby Drbayern. DO NOT tell anyone I loved a fruit beer. This was the exception. Poured a cloudy red, with minimal head and a dirty white lacing on the edge. The aroma was that of fresh cherries. The taste was that of mild cherries, not too tart, not too sweet. The mouthfeel was smooth and relaxing.

Pours red with a head that quickly dissipates. Smells of cherries. Big cherries. Awesome aroma. Tastes of cherries, malt. It’s nice. I was hoping for more of a biscuity background. Finishes dry. Nice beer, good for a dessert.

Ruddy red colored pour with a small loose head. Tart cherry and sweet pie aroma with a hint of funk. Sweet tart cherry pie flavor with slight cane sugar, vinegar, apple cider and biscuit. The body is sticky, medium full with lots of effervescent carbonation.

Poured from bottle. Pours a dark red with just a little head that didn’t last long. Smell is over cherries. Taste is sweet upfront with a heavy cherry flavor. Little bit of a sour finish.

Bought this while in Madison. Poured a dark red color with a off white head. Aroma heavy of cherries. First drink was very sweet. Very delicious fruit beer.

Compliments of Brian, shared with Steve-O (at his pimp palace), doboy and DrBayern. Poured from 750 ml bottle a dark, current color, formed off white foamy head, which dissipated quick. Aroma of, geuss, yep cherries and malts. Flavour sweet, cherry dominated, heavily carbonated, most gratifying fruit beer I’ve ever had. Superb smoothness, soda like quality, yet a hint of malts and hops to remind you that your drinking beer. Awesome stuff.

Pours a reddish brown with a large lasting head. Very carbonated apparently. Aroma is of boysenberry soda/wine cooler, a little dusty, slightly creamy. Flavor is very creamy, with huge cherry flavor, a little malt. No, this isn’t a wine cooler; that is apparent now. Like raspberry-vanilla sherbet meets pale ale. One of the most unique things I’ve ever tasted. Very sweet, note. Medium viscosity and carbonation. Overall, very good minus.

Bottle @ the Cuvee de Castleton release. Another great fruit styled beer by new glarus. Pour is nice with creamy foam on top of a cherry oak colored pour. Flavor and aroma well done.
