Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Bottle at the Cuvee de Castleton release at Captain Lawrence. Pours a hazy reddish brown with a thin beige head. Nose is all fruit. Big cherry notes with a touch of caramel. Flavor is incredible. Sweet and sour cherry with a lovely tang…utterly gorgeous. I’m glad I have a bottle of this still sitting in the cellar thanks to daknole, because I am going to relish drinking this again.

From the Bottle at Tom’s Ultimate Glasgow Tasting, Blackfriars 01/12/2007 Sweet cherry aroma. Red coloured smooth and creamy on the palate with a fruity cherry flavour. Crisp and dry slightly spicy finish.

750 mL bottle from Timer’s Beverage in Racine (purchased September 2007). Dark red pour with a small amount of carbonation. Sweet and sour cherry aroma. Wonderful tart cherry taste. Nothing but great things to say about this beer. For me, it’s perfect in every way.

Got to try a bottle of this courtesy of "hannont". Colour... cloudy amber-red. Nose... macerated cherries and yeast. Palate... Lots o’ cherries!! A sweet, tart, tangy, succulent, pie in the face that I’d welcome anytime!

Pinkish-red beer with little but sweet cherries in the nose. Tastes pretty sweet but with a tangy, tart terry chang. I mean cherry tang. Whatever. Intense cherry flavor, almost one-dimensionally so. Lively mouthfeel. Dessert beer. Nothing wrong with that, but a bit sweet for my blood.
